Just saying…. Don’t just take my word for it, scientists have proven that the negative ions at a waterfall, have a positive impact on the body

Today we headed up towards Leyburn to a couple of hidden gems. The weather was perfect for cooling off under the waterfall and taking in the vitamin D

With some meditation, frequency and Aether, it really was a magical day

The next one is in 2 weeks time, back where it all started, in Goathland

There’s something about sitting around a fire on a beach that puts life back into perspective 🌕🔥🌊

No phones.
No rushing.
No pretending everything is fine.

Just the sound of the sea, hot soup in your hands, moonlight on the water and a group of humans unpacking life together.

This July Full Buck Moon, I’m bringing together one of my favourite kinds of evenings.

We’ll begin with creative beach Sylvotherapy to quiet the mind and reconnect with nature again… before moving into Hatha Yoga with Simon Luke Cowling, cacao, manifestation work, journalling and future-self letter writing around the fire.

There’ll be:
🌿 Beach Forest Therapy
🧘 Yoga
🍫 Cacao
🔥 Fire & homemade soup
📖 Letting go rituals
🔮 Optional Angel Card readings
🌊 Optional sea dip if the mood takes us

This isn’t about being “perfectly healed”.

It’s about taking a breath before life runs away with you again.

And honestly… the beach feels like the right place to do that 🌕

People call me a forager…
but that doesn’t quite fit what I do 🌿🍄

I don’t just walk woodlands looking for plants.

I read them.

I listen to them.

I work with folklore, history, energy, seasonal shifts, nervous system awareness… and the quiet intelligence of the land itself.

I’m what you might call an alternative forager — where wild food, forest therapy, wellbeing and landscape storytelling all meet in one practice.

I run monthly Saturday foraging walks through Goathland 🌲
From woodland paths to Beck Hole, through to the old station and railway lines that feel like they’ve stepped out of time.

And if the day feels right… we follow waterfalls too. A cheeky one or two. Just for balance.

This isn’t a rushed walk.

It’s a slow return to nature.

A space to breathe again.

A space to notice again.

A space to remember you are part of it all.

🍄 Foraging
🌿 Forest therapy
⚡ Energy awareness in nature
📖 Folklore & landscape history
💧 Waterfall moments of calm

If you feel drawn to nature in a deeper way than just “getting outside more”… you’ll understand exactly what this is 🌿

Hawthorn has always felt like the guardian of the heart to me 🌿❤️

For centuries it has been woven into folklore, herbal medicine and sacred rituals. The Celts believed hawthorn stood between worlds, a tree of protection, love and deep spiritual awakening. In forest therapy, hawthorn carries the energy of the heart chakra... helping us soften, release grief, open ourselves to connection and remember who we truly are beneath the noise of modern life.

When I sit beside hawthorn, I feel this quiet but powerful energy. Not loud. Not demanding. Just steady. Like nature placing a hand on your chest and reminding your nervous system it is safe again 🌳

Its berries, leaves and flowers have long been used to support the physical heart, circulation and emotional wellbeing. But energetically... hawthorn goes deeper. It teaches boundaries with compassion. Strength with softness. Love without losing yourself.

Try sitting with a hawthorn tree in silence. Breathe slowly. Place your hand on your heart. Listen to the birds, the wind, the creaking branches. Forest therapy is not just about being in nature... it is about allowing nature to mirror the parts of ourselves we have forgotten 🍃

The heart chakra is the bridge between the mind and soul. And hawthorn has been holding that bridge for generations.

We are living in a world where stress, burnout, anxiety and poor mental health have become so normalised that people are expected to keep functioning while completely exhausted inside 🌿

The systems designed to support mental wellbeing are under immense pressure, massively underfunded, and too many people are left feeling disconnected, overwhelmed and alone.

And honestly? I don’t believe healing only exists inside white walls and waiting rooms.

I’ve spent years researching medicinal mushrooms, nervous system regulation, forest therapy, holistic wellbeing and the powerful effect nature can have on the human mind and body.

Because nature changes people.

Forests calm us differently.
Water slows the mind differently.
Mushrooms support the body differently.
And sometimes what people need most is softness, connection and space to breathe again.

So I created Forage Yourself Happy 🌿🍄

A free inclusive Skool community bringing all of my teachings, workshops, research and wellbeing tools together in one supportive place.

Inside you’ll find:
🍄 Medicinal Mushrooms 101
🌲 Forest Therapy & nervous system support
🌿 Nature-based wellbeing tools
🫙 Foraging & wild living skills
✨ Mindset, healing & holistic practices

Joining is completely FREE and includes:
🍄 A free Medicinal Mushrooms 101 workshop
🌿 A downloadable Nature Toolkit

No pressure. No judgement. No pretending to have it all figured out.

Just real people, real tools and a calmer, more connected way of living 🌿

Women are exhausted.

Not just tired… exhausted in their nervous systems. Burned out from holding everything together while their hormones are doing parkour through the cosmos 🌿✨

So and I decided to create something different.

On the 23rd May we’re bringing together medicinal mushrooms, menopause support, manifestation, nervous system healing and a deeply calming sound bath for a 3-hour immersive retreat in Horsforth 🍄

This isn’t “love and light” wellness with no substance.

We’ll be diving into:
🍄 Functional mushrooms for brain fog, stress & energy
🌿 Menopause & nervous system regulation
✨ Manifestation techniques that actually shift your mindset
🎶 Sound healing to help you properly exhale

Real tools. Real conversation. Real support.

Honestly? This is the workshop I wish existed years ago.

And judging by the messages already coming in… I know we’re not the only ones feeling it 🌕🍄

You might think I’m always out at waterfalls sniffing moss 🌿🍄

And… you wouldn’t be entirely wrong.

But there’s another side to me too.

I’m a qualified teacher and A2 Assessor. I’ve spent the last 5 years researching and developing workshops, and the past 2 years actively building and delivering them to people all over the world.

Everything I share in the woods, in sessions, and in my work has been tested, taught, refined and lived through real practice.

So on that note…

Welcome to my new Skool 🌿 My workshops are live, with more to follow 👌🏻

We’ve been programmed to believe success looks like burnout wrapped in Amazon parcels 📦🌪️

Work more. Buy more. Upgrade more.
Bigger houses. Newer cars. Faster lives.
Then one day you wake up exhausted, financially trapped, disconnected from the earth… quietly craving something slower, softer, more real 🌿

That’s exactly why I chose to continue my education with Alma Oasis

Their courses don’t just teach skills… they reconnect people to nature, community, sustainability and meaningful living. While most education systems train people to become cogs in the industrial machine, Alma Oasis is helping people remember who they actually are 🌍✨

What I love most is that they actively give back too.
For every course sold, they support the planting of 3 trees through One Tree Planted, alongside projects supporting communities in Zimbabwe through the Kuaba Humanitarian Foundation 🌱

This is the kind of education that feels aligned with the future I want to live in.
Less consumerism. More connection.
Less surviving. More soul. 🍄🌲

If you’ve been feeling the pull to step away from superficial living and learn something genuinely fulfilling, I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough.

🌿☠️ HEMLOCK vs COW PARSLEY ☠️🌿

Out in the wild with my good friend James from The Forager Within, exploring one of the most important lessons in foraging… knowing the difference between edible plants and deadly lookalikes 👀🌱

Cow parsley may look delicate and familiar, but poisonous hemlock can grow right beside it… and getting it wrong can be fatal. Nature is beautiful, but she demands respect 🍃

⚡ Key differences we look for:
🌿 Hemlock often has purple blotches on the stem
🌿 It gives off an unpleasant smell when crushed
🌿 It grows taller and more imposing than cow parsley
🌿 Cow parsley has softer hairy stems and a fresh parsley-like scent

🚫 NEVER MUNCH ON A HUNCH 🚫

If you don’t know… don’t chance it.
Foraging is about learning, observing, slowing down, and building knowledge over time 🌳📚

Every expert forager once started as a beginner crouched beside a plant going, “erm… maybe?” 😂

The wild pantry is incredible when approached safely and respectfully 🍄✨

Want to learn how to forage safely and confidently?
Come explore waterfalls, woodlands, medicinal plants, and mushrooms with me on one of my guided workshops 🌲💧

🌿 Next workshop details are in the link in bio 🌿
