Thinking of everyone whose dad is no longer here today.

May the tide bring back a memory,
the breeze carry a smile,
and the day be gentle with you.

Whether today feels heavy, peaceful, bittersweet or somewhere in between, there is no right or wrong way to do Father’s Day.

However you are carrying your dad today, we are thinking of you at 🩵

Warm Space Wednesday Talking About Loss 💙

Every Wednesday, people come together for friendship, conversation, a warm meal, and a reminder that nobody has to face difficult days alone.

Whether you’re navigating grief, feeling lonely, or simply fancy some company, you’ll always find a warm welcome, lunch, and a friendly face.

Sometimes community isn’t about fixing anything.

It’s simply about being together.

Talking About Loss 💙

There is no grief test to pass.

No gold star for doing Father’s Day a certain way.

No right or wrong way to navigate it.

No expectation that you should spend the day feeling sad, visiting a grave, staying off social media or doing what everyone else appears to be doing.

For a long time, I thought I had to find the “right” way.

What I’ve discovered is that the right way is simply your way.

Some years I avoid the noise.

Some years I embrace it.

Some years I smile more than I cry.

Some years I barely think about the day at all.

And all of that is okay.

Because Father’s Day isn’t a measure of how much we loved someone.

It’s just a date in the calendar.

The love, the memories, the lessons and the influence of the people we miss aren’t confined to one Sunday in June.

They travel with us every day.

So if Father’s Day feels difficult, embrace that.

If it feels joyful, embrace that too.

And if it feels like just another Sunday, that’s okay as well.

There is no grief test to pass.

Only your life to live, your memories to carrry, and your own way forward. 💙 💙

This journey began with a simple idea: creating a space where people could connect, talk, and feel less alone.

Today was a reminder that Talking About Loss has never just been about grief. It’s about people, friendship, kindness, and connection.

Thank you for trusting us with your story

Seven years of connection. Seven years of community. 💙

Seven years ago, we held our very first Talking About Loss pop-up 8months after Dad died.

I never imagined that one conversation about grief would grow into such an incredible community.

Thank you to every single person who has walked alongside us and trusted us with your story. 💙
