10 THINGS TO CONSIDER AFTER 40!
1. Stop eating refined Sugar, if your mouth cant do without sweets, then replace it with natural honey from the village, you can also eat the fruit called dates. They are very healthy. Natural Honey is better than refined sugar.
2. Stop eating imported frozen chicken, turkey, etc. Get the ones that are locally bred. That way you are sure of what you are eating, your local fowls killed and dressed for you, have no injected chemicals for preservations. Imported chickens like the commercial broiler chickens are mostly treated with excessive antibiotics or growth hormones, which are not the best for your body.
3. Stop using seed oils like the imported popular sunflower oil. Use our natural olive oil, coconut oil, groundnut oil, shea butter oil etc to cook. They are better for your good cholesterol.
4. Abandon fuzzy drinks, energy drinks, aphrodisiacs, etc. Instead, focus on water, yes water. Drink plenty of water. And for more electrolytes for your body, you can take coconut water. In replacement of Vi**ra and co, eat more watermelons, it's commonly known as nature's vi**ra, eat avocados, popularly known as testicle fruit; it supports testosterone production, s***m quality, and sustained energy.
5. Quit smoking. Whether Sh**ha, V**e, Cigarette or Cigar, it offers 0 benefits to your body and poses threat to your lungs.
6. Quit alcohol, or at best, make it an occasional affair, not an everyday habit.
7. Avoid Milo as much as you can, and if you have to take milo, do not add sugar, it already has enough unnatural sugar. Avoid high cholesterol evaporated milk, etc. Instead, use fresh milk, low cholesterol milk, non diary milk, etc
8. Avoid eating late and going straight to sleep. If you have to eat late, stick to fruits, salads and lean meat. And after that, sit or walk around for a while before you jump on the bed.
9. Avoid sleeping next to your mobile phone. Keep your phone far away. It can significantly harm your sleep quality and if it continues for long, it impacts negatively on your mental well-being.
10. Find a lifestyle that incorporates some exercises into your life. Walking, cycling, dance classes, tennis, swimming, golf etc. You can also add home-based exercises such as skipping, planks, press ups, etc. No matter the situation, ensure you have at least ONE form of exercise that you do. Your entire body can not continue to function at its best potential without any form of exercise.
