Jane Birkin (singer,actor) on a flight one day complained to her seat mate after the contents of her wicker basket fell on the floor - she was trying to fix it in the over head compartment. Her seat mate advised she get a bag with pockets and introduced himself as Jean-Louis Dumas, Head of Hermès.

They started sketching bag designs in the plane and today we have the exquisite handmade luxurious Hermès Birkin bags. Today, the bags sell from $8000 to as much as $500,000.

Point is, my birthday is in August 👀, JK! Opportunities can present themselves anytime and everywhere, we just need to recognize it and roll with it. You never know what can happen when you have that conversation with that stranger! Happy new week and let’s smash it!

Don’t you just LOVE a good pick me up outfit? Sometimes, bright colors are my happy place. Like the outfit above, I love that you can wear it separately and can be worn to work or to an event i.e parties, weddings, date night - depending on how you accessorize 💛

My eyes are open I promise 😛. I realize I enjoy everything beauty these days; makeup, skincare, products, k-beauty, everything. My YouTube recommendations is 70% makeup tutorials - don’t judge 💅🏾

Makeup and skincare has become an essential part of fashion, whether you’re going full face (where my contour squad at🙋🏾‍♀️) or you’re team bare minimal, you can’t have a complete outfit without touching your face at least.

My go to daily routine is eyebrows, lipgloss and maybe mascara but if I have an event then we’ll have a light, light beat okurrr 😆

In 2013, I had the idea to start a blog to show and talk about one of my favorite things - fashion. As a student then, my target audience were basically my friends. However, I wanted it to grow further. I got up one day, spoke to one of the fashionable guys on campus, also a model and took some photos - Exhibit A👆🏾

Unfortunately, balancing this and school work wasn’t easy so I put it off till after school. Don’t ask me why it took so long, just fast forward to now, we’re here 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽.

I don’t know what you’re expecting but Amber&Fire is hopefully going to make you go yaaassssss! about clothes, skincare and anything fashion. Most importantly it will make you think closely about the conscious and unconscious representation our clothing depicts.
