Almost everyone is talking about the spread of the coronavirus. It spreads fast.

Staying calm helps you more than panicking.

What is COVID-19 ?

Coronavirus is a family of viruses that infect humans and animals. The name comes from its spiny appendages that resemble a crown.

People with weakened immune systems are most susceptible. To protect yourself, you need to raise and strengthen your immune system. Eat less heavy and harmful food. Toxic and harmful substances from food and the environment that accumulate in the body affect the immune system. Include fermented foods in your diet. The fermentation process is called artificial digestion: fermented food diversifies the gut flora and, accordingly, normalize the work of the intestines.

Products containing highly active enzymes are bananas, pineapple, avocado, kiwi, grapefruit, mango, garlic, onions, raw cabbage, sauerkraut, carrots, beets, and sprouted grain.

Remember not to overeat!

Drink herbal teas to strengthen the immune system (ginger, Echinacea, rosehip, ginseng). Take at least 1000 mg vitamin C and 5000 IU vitamin D3.

Clean the house and maintain personal hygiene. Shower at least twice a day, wash your hands as often as possible, and use disinfecting gel. Disinfect your cellphone, door handles, steering wheel, and other places you touch.

Get sleep! A minimum of 7-8 hours of quality sleep is essential for the immune system.

And most importantly - resist panic and stop following the news. This is to improve your mental hygiene. Extra stress won’t benefit you.

With intense emotional and mental stress increases not only the production of stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol but also the acetylcholine, otherwise called “the hormone of weakness”.

Acetylcholine makes the immune system more vulnerable. From a calm state of mind, from low exposure to stress, the chances of maintaining a healthy immune system are much higher.

What to Avoid? – The Dark Side of the Food World
The foods we are to avoid are not “unclean foods” listed in Leviticus and Deuteronomy; the foods we need to avoid are man-made foods- processed foods, fast foods, excessive sugars, and toxic fats. As a rule of thumb; limit your intake of processed foods (white bread, instant white rice, crackers, chips and so forth). The processing of natural food takes away valuable vitamins, minerals, fiber, enzymes, phytonutrients, and antioxidants. Most processed food have a high glycenic index and raise your blood sugar, causing weight gain and setting the stage for degenerative diseases. Most contain little to no nutrition and actually put a drain in your digestive enzymes. Food companies lure our brightest minds and chemists to make their foods as addictive as possible, so you can’t just eat just a little bit. They know how to create the eye appeal, tastes, textures, feels and smells people find irresistible. They also hire the brightest marketers to package and promote their products in a way that appeals to you and your children- like putting toys in cereal boxes and cartoon characters on the outside of the boxes. But its time to boot dead foods out of your life! Here are the main ones you need to kick out or reduce dramatically;
• MSG (monosodium glutamate); the more salty or processed a food is, the more MSG or free glutamate the food contains.
• High sugar foods and beverages; here are some harmful effects of sugar;
sugar impairs your immune system
sugar can make you fat
sugar is linked to behavioural disorders
sugar leads to osteoporosis
sugar aggravates yeast problems
sugar leads to type 2 diabetes and elevates cholesterol
sugar accelerates the aging process
sugar is addictive
• Fast foods; fries and hamburgers
• Deadly meats; livers and kidneys, sausage, cold cuts and packaged meat
• Fats; hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats, fats that kill in excess but heal in moderation ( saturated and polyunsaturated fats), and fats that heal ( omega 3 fats and mono- unsaturated fats). The more solid the fat is, the more dangerous it is to your body.
Stay on the lighter side of life by enjoying living foods. The more processed and the more sugar and fats a food contains the more harm it does to your body. Limit intake of fatty meats.
