π¬π GRMA WELCOMES THE LAUNCH OF PRIMER
The Ghana Registered Midwives Association (GRMA) welcomes the launch of the Presidential Initiative on Maternal Health Emergency Response (PRIMER) a significant national commitment to accelerating action to end preventable maternal deaths in Ghana.
As a member of the PRIMER Technical Working Group, GRMA is proud to contribute the voice, expertise and experience of Ghanaβs midwifery profession to this important national agenda.
Midwives are central to the provision of maternity care and are often the first to recognise and respond to life-threatening complications during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
GRMA remains committed to the duties of PRIMER, collaborate with development partners and other stakeholders to ensure that PRIMER translates commitment into measurable action and lives saved.
Every midwife deserves the tools and support in her work and mother deserves a safe birth.
