Our wonderful kids took to the streets in Kumasi in Ghana, after being empowered for 3 days by CARE Model trained speech-language therapists.

Walking through the principal streets in Kumasi, they shared what they wished people knew about stuttering. They stopped to answer questions from passersby and business owners and advocated for themselves and other people who stutter around the world.

We are grateful to the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research and the Ghana Stammering Association - GSA for making this possible.

Ghana are you READY! Ashanti Region are you READY!! Kumasi are you READY!!!

Ghana's maiden Camp Dream.Speak.Live (2025) positively impacted the lives of many children and teens who stammer in the Greater Accra region of Ghana, especially those in Chorkor and its suburbs.

Camp Dream. Speak. Live. is an annual, week-long camp offered to children and adolescents who stammer in multiple locations around the world. This evidence-based intensive therapy program has been documented to: increase overall communicative effectiveness, improve how participants feel about their ability to communicate, increase participant’s positive perception of their ability to establish peer-to-peer relationships, enhance leadership skills, and lessen the influence of stuttering on their overall quality of life.

In August 2026, we are bringing Camp Dream.Speak.Live-Ghana to Kumasi.
