For the avoidance of doubts the Central Laboratory of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Hospital is an ISO 15189:2022 accreditated facility which process was led by competent medical laboratory scientists.

The facility has competent medical laboratory scientists who ensure quality of Medical Laboratory processes and procedures to assure accurate, reliable and timely diagnosis.

The facility has well trained medical laboratory science professionals professional who are professionals regulated by law.

The public should disregard any immature and reckless behaviuor aimed at further creating gaps between professionals.

The Central Laboratory is an accredited facility with scopes in Medical Microbiology, HIV Viral Load and Early Infant Diagnosis for HIV, Clinical Chemistry and Haematology. These processes were led by competent scientists who are contributing to continuous improvement of the system. The laboratory has over 300 approved documents as parts of its quality management system documentation.

The Central laboratory provides support for training of medical laboratory science professionals and other healthcare providers in the country as well as the largest support for HIV viral load and EID testing in Ghana.

The laboratory is managed with Quality Management System based on ISO 15189:2022. The laboratory provides competent services in patients in the hospital and beyond.

Fellow colleagues,

In this season, let us remain steadfast and united. Our profession is built on science, service, and integrity. The work we do in laboratories across Ghana saves lives daily, even when it goes unseen. Collaboration is built of mutual respect.

No one should glorify disrespect in the health sector.

We are making progress. We are advancing and continuing to help build system together.

Our voice as medical laboratory scientists is growing stronger.

Challenges exist, but they do not define us. Our focus is professionalism, and our collective resolve is for us to do more to save lives.

Let us not be distracted. Let us not be divided. Let us rise above negativity and remain focused on our mission: delivering quality diagnostics, advocating for our profession, and securing the future of Medical Laboratory Science in Ghana.

Keep the hope alive. Keep the standard high. Together, we will see the breakthroughs we have been working toward.
