The Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo (PreHA) was established on 21st March, 1931 making it the oldest Mission Hospital in Ghana.

PreHA is well known to be second to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in terms of performance outputs in the Ashanti Region.

Today, June 18, 2026, the Physiotherapy Unit updated the Clinical Staff of PreHA on the topic ‘WORKPLACE MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS AMONG CLINICAL STAFF’. This presentation was delivered by Mr Harry Yaw Annan - Head of Physiotherapy Unit, PreHA.

Today, 28th May, 2026, Department of Child Health-PreHA updated the staff on Neonatal Jaundice. The month of May is Neonatal Juandice Awareness Creation Month and the staff were not left out. This very important topic was presented by Dr. (Med) Priscilla Zorve. The head of department, Dr. Maame Fremah Kotoh-Morthy- (Pediatrician) also emphasized that early recognition of Neonatal Jaundice and intervention are non-negotiable therefore Jaundice education starts from antenatal clinics before child birth.

Nutrition Unit of the Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo today May 21, 2026 at Clinical Meeting updated the staff on one of the most important topics as far as maternal and child health is concerned “Maternal and Child Nutrition: Clinical Evidence and Intervention Strategies”. This all important topic was presented by Mr. Frederick Mensah(Nutritionist- PreHA)

Department of Surgery led by Dr. Reginald Frimpong Boateng(Specialist, General Surgery) today 14th May, 2026 updated the clinical team of PreHA on the MANAGEMENT OF HEAD INJURY. Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo has been the referral facility for most accident cases in and around the municipality. The increase cases of head injury brought to the Emergency unit caught the attention of the Surgical department to put up a presentation to update staff on it’s Management so as to save patients and prevent complications. The presentation was done by Dr. (Med) Nana Frimpong-Manso Buabeng

JICA GHANA PAYS WORKING VISIT TO PreHA

A Working Visit by Officials from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Ghana to Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo on 5th May, 2026.
During their visit, the JICA Volunteer working with Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo made a presentation on the progress of her work so far in the Hospital and within the Community.
