HOW MANY TIMES CAN I GO THROUGH A CESAREAN SECTION?

It depends on your situation. In many African countries women are advised to stop after 3 cesarean sections due to the complications that can arise after several cesarean sections.

In high income countries and settings where monitoring is good and facilitaties are available, some women can go more depending on their specific situations and what their doctors recommend

People are different and situations can also be different. Talk to your gynaecologist before deciding what you want to do.

Do not risk your life just because you heard some one did same. The situation and environment can be different. Speak to your gynaecologist

So many of you shared your VBAC stories 🩷

Thank you for opening up under my last post on vaginal birth after one CS.

A few stories that stood out:

One mama shared her mum had a CS, then 2 years later had a vaginal birth with zero complications — and all her siblings after were vaginal births too.

Another mama shared her first was CS, then 3 years later she had a vaginal birth.

Every pregnancy is different, and timing + your doctor’s assessment matter so much.

Can I have vaginal birth after two cesarean sections

most hospitals in Africa or low income countries do not encourage having vaginal birth after two cesarean section due to the risk of raptured uterus if you are not monitored properly.

In high income countries or settings where they have good monitoring systems, It may be allowed if you waited more than two years and everything is ok with the pregnancy .

So it depends on where you find yourself, the current pregnancy and your doctors assessment

My wife went through Cs when giving birth to our first child
Please I want to know if she will have go through again when having our second child.

Reply from sally

It depends. If she waits for two years before getting pregnant again and there is no issue, they can allow her to try vaginal birth, if there are issues with the second pregnancy, like big baby, placenta Previa etc they will have no option than to repeat. Also any pregnancy below two years will be considered as too short. It has the risk of raptured uterus and other complications.

So it depends on all these

I am not taking sides. They all have beautiful and unique personalities

Their unity was just beautiful

They should stop talking and exposing each other

Some of us watched them from far and wished we had amazing friends to do content with like they did

And finally those who were comparing brand deals, I laugh! These women are already big brands 😁

Imagine Olivia starting her own baby brand or hair brand🤗. Endorsement is good but she has more than that. The comparison doesn’t make sense at all😅😅😅

Jenny can have a product of her own and even do better than the endorsement you are all using to compare others

CARE FOR THE CORD

After the birth of the baby the cord which connects the mum and baby will take some time to drop off
You need to pay particular attention to the cord to prevent infection.
Some tips to follow:
🔴Use the prescribed solution recommended by your doctor or midwife
🔴Top and tail baby till cord drops off before bathing the baby
🔴 The cord area should be kept dry. Don't cover with the diaper. Wear cotton clothes and don't over dress baby
🔴Take care of the stump until it's completely healed
🔴Wash hands before cleaning your baby's cord
🔴Items used example cotton wool should be sterile to prevent infection.
Signs of cord infection/dangers include
🔵Abnormal discharge
🔵Redness or swelling of the umbilicus
🔵Abnormal smell
🔵Bleeding should be reported immediately without delay
