We are delighted to donate a Sensory Cat to St Bernadette’s Resource Centre to support the comfort, engagement, and wellbeing of their service users.

Sensory companions can provide calming stimulation, emotional support, and meaningful interaction, helping to enhance quality of life and bring comfort, connection, and enjoyment to everyday experiences.

We are honored to support the wonderful work being carried out by the team at St Bernadette’s Resource Centre and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of those they serve.

We’re pleased to introduce a new monthly support space in collaboration with the Care Agency, Citizens Advice Bureau, the Gibraltar Health Authority & Community Care Domiciliary Services.

Held on the first Tuesday of every month (starting in June), these sessions offer a safe, welcoming environment for individuals living with dementia, as well as their families and carers, to ask questions, share concerns and access guidance.

A range of professionals, including social workers, counsellors and support teams, will be available to provide information and support on a range of topics.

Our ERS Activities Team recently organised Mount Alvernia’s and John Cochrane Ward’s very own version of Calentita Night.

The GHA Catering Department prepared a delicious selection of world foods for residents to enjoy, while Jessamine Scuton White and Felicity Sardina entertained everyone with a wonderful variety of songs. At John Cochrane Ward, Jonathan Fernandez delighted residents with his singing, adding to the fantastic atmosphere.

Well done to all the GHA teams involved in making this truly wonderful event such a success.
