BRANDLEY makes its debut at the 032c Mode Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris.
The fifth MYKITA | 032c edition takes its cues from the sleek, close-fitting goggles of equestrian sport – reworked in MYLON® as a radically reduced wraparound shield.

Precision in motion.

Postcard from Paris Fashion Week.

Behind the scenes at Vaquera SS2027, where MYKITA + VAQUERA made its runway debut with sunglass models SEPTEMBER and BLONDEL.

The first eyewear collaboration takes two American archetypes and pushes them somewhere unexpected: stretched proportions, sculptural MYLON® details and curved shield lenses. Familiar codes, deliberately off-kilter.

EYE/BROW. From the archives of l.a.Eyeworks’ FACE IT! collection: jewelry designer Terri Logan morphs the minimalist silhouette of a HEATHER frame (1997) with a bespoke metal brow plate.

A key chapter in our multi-faceted history of creative partnerships, the FACE IT! collection began in the 1980s with invitations to artists, jewelers and other visionaries to transform l.a.Eyeworks designs as a way to amplify the expressive potential of eyewear and expand the boundaries of vision.

MYKITA × Leica: Precision Meets Eyewear Luxury MYKITA

The MYKITA × Leica collaboration is more than just “designer frames with a big name.” It’s an embodiment of what luxury eyewear is lately demanding: engineering that’s tangible, design that has meaning, and authenticity in every component.

MYKITA and OAMC® Reframe Functional Design Through Precision Eyewear MYKITA / OAMC

When Berlin-based eyewear innovator MYKITA partners with Milan-rooted menswear label OAMC, the result is less about seasonal novelty and more about long-term design language. Their latest eyewear capsule reflects a shared commitment to technical rigor, material innovation and an uncompromising approach to form.

OAMC (Over All Master Cloth) is a luxury, avant-garde menswear brand founded in 2013 by Luke Meier (former head designer of Supreme) and Arnaud Faeh (former creative director of Carhartt WIP).

“When I met Luke, it was immediately clear that we were speaking the same language,” says Moritz Krüger, MYKITA founder and creative director. The sentiment captures the foundation of the collaboration: a mutual respect for process-driven design and a belief that utility and refinement are not opposing forces.

Why Culture, Not Advertising, Is the Most Powerful Force in Eyewear MYKITA

In luxury fashion, products rarely become icons because of marketing alone. They become relevant when they enter culture.

Few examples illustrate this better than Cate Blanchett’s Cate Blanchett recent appearances in customized MYKITA eyewear. Over the past month, the Academy Award-winning actor has worn several bespoke versions of the Berlin-based brand’s signature frames at high-profile events from Cannes to London, reinforcing a relationship that feels less like celebrity endorsement and more like a genuine expression of personal style.

For eyewear brands navigating an increasingly crowded market, the lesson is significant: visibility matters, but cultural relevance matters more.

Blanchett has built a reputation for approaching fashion differently from many of her contemporaries. Rather than chasing trends, she consistently advocates for longevity, craftsmanship and individuality. She has repeatedly spoken against fashion’s culture of disposability, famously arguing that “beautiful clothes should last a lifetime.” Her wardrobe choices reflect that philosophy, with archival pieces regularly reappearing on red carpets years after their first outing.

The same principle extends to her eyewear.

At the same time, this reflects a clear shift in the market, where consumers are increasingly gravitating toward quiet luxury, minimalist silhouettes, and understated design. Yet rather than relying solely on neutral palettes, vibrant summer shades such as bold orange are emerging as a way to bring personality and distinction to otherwise clean, refined aesthetics, creating a look that feels both sophisticated and refreshingly different.
