Hello everyone and sorry for another long ass post!
I need your honest thoughts being from the community!
We are looking into opening a CIC (community interest centre), where we will be offering recruitment services by partnering with local businesses who have live job vacancies to fill and to remove the hassle of jobseekers turning up unprepared and not “interview ready”. We will screen and interview local people looking for work and place them into a job or apprenticeship for a fair and ethical fee paid for by the employer to generate profit to go back into the CIC! Aside from this I will also be preparing them for the interview, loaning out interview clothes and carrying out practice interviews whilst delivering training sessions covering everything from “a day in the life of a retail assistant”, or “a day working for ###x” etc etc and preparing them for interviews using the resources we have and the knowledge we can share!
Would this be something you would utilise either as an employee or as a jobseeker?
Other ideas that I can bolt on would be endless, but a couple of thoughts are looking to start a “borrow me” studio where we will have a range of occasional dresses, for both men, women and children! Weddings, proms, christenings etc can cost a fortune so we will hire this at an affordable price and even pay weekly!
My background is recruitment, sales and training so I want to put something back into the community. As you know since 2020 I have been and still fighting cancer. Mentally and physically, I feel the best I have in a long, long time and would love to make a small difference! And maybe get an MBE ( massive jokes lol)!
Thoughts please
###xx be kind!
