🚀 We are pleased to share a new publication in the Journal of Applied Clinical Physics (JACMP), exploring the role of plan complexity and target geometry in multi-institutional, gel-based end-to-end (E2E) Quality Assurance for single-isocenter, multiple brain metastases stereotactic radiosurgery (SI-MBM SRS).

✅ Using RTsafe’s phantom and 3D polymer gel dosimetry, this study evaluated 42 treatment plans, encompassing 250 targets across different treatment platforms. Variations in gamma passing rates (GPRs) and their relationship with target geometry and plan complexity were investigated.

✅ The findings highlight the importance of target size and distance from the isocenter in interpreting dosimetric QA results, while demonstrating that conventional plan complexity metrics do not consistently predict GPR performance across different clinical platforms.

🚀 Using RTsafe’s phantom, a 9-target SRS plan was evaluated through gel-based dose measurements, TPS comparison, gamma analysis, DVH metrics, and 3D geometric offset assessment.

🎯 Key findings included 3D gamma passing rates up to 100% at 5%/2mm criteria and sub-millimeter offsets for most targets, supporting high spatial and dosimetric agreement between planned and delivered dose.

✅ With the hashtag phantom, RTsafe enables end-to-end verification for high precision SRS, helping clinical teams increase confidence in complex treatment delivery.

📌 We are pleased to share a study from University Medical Center Utrecht on 3D gel dosimetry entitled “3D gel dosimeter assessment for end-to-end geometric accuracy determination of the online adaptive workflow on the 1.5 T MR-linac”, utilizing RTsafe’s Prime Phantom.

🔎 This study highlights the usability of gel dosimeters for evaluating and ensuring the reproducibility of 3D geometrical accuracy of the Adapt-to-Shape (ATS) workflow on a Unity MR-Linac system. Gel measurements, compared to film reference measurements, proved to be reliable for E2E procedures on MR-Linacs.
