🚀 In collaboration with 23 radiotherapy centers across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the hashtag phantom provided by RTsafe, equipped with radiochromic film and polymer gel dosimeters was used to evaluate spatial accuracy and treatment plan quality in single-isocenter multitarget (SIMT) SRS.
🔎 This study revealed a mean target offset of 0.9mm, with offsets greater than 1mm observed in 33% of centers. Imaging-to-irradiation isocenter consistency was identified as a key factor influencing accuracy, while automated planning and smaller MLC leaf widths were associated with improved plan quality.
🔎 These findings highlight the need for rigorous End-to-End QA and greater standardization in SIMT SRS.
