Taking care of a new tattoo during the summer requires discipline.
1. Timing & Sun: Ideally, get tattooed at the end of your trip. If you are already on vacation, follow the "48-Hour Rule": avoid the beach, direct sun, and swimming entirely for two days. Afterward, always use SPF 50+. When back from the beach, wash the area gently and apply your tattoo aftercare cream for 15 days.
2. Precautions: Swimming pools are strictly forbidden; chlorine is a chemical that damages healing skin. Also, avoid contact with sand and excessive sweat.
3. Finger Tattoos: If your artist advises against them, listen. Finger tattoos fade quickly due to biology. If you insist, accept the result: they may lose definition in days or years, eventually fading into small fragments.
