Το διήμερο 19 και 20 Μάη είχα την χαρά να συμμετέχω στο In-Hospital course: Innovative Techniques in Colore**al Surgery, το οποίο πραγματοποίηθηκε στο Research Hospital Humanitas στο Μιλάνο. Παρέα με μια ομάδα εξαίρετων συναδέλφων χειρουργών από το ΕΣΥ, Πανεπιστήμιο και Ιδιωτικό Τομέα, προερχόμενων από Αθήνα και Θεσσαλονίκη, είχαμε την τιμή να γνωρίσουμε τον Prof Antonino Spinelli και να εκπαιδευτούμε στην τεχνική TTSS (Transa**l Transection and Single- Stapled Anastomosis), μια καινοτόμο τεχνική για την αντιμετώπιση όγκων μέσου και κατώτερου τριτημόριου του ορθού με διατήρηση του σφιγκτήρα του πρωκτού και αποφυγή μόνιμης στομίας. Η παρακολούθηση χειρουργείων και η λεπτομερής συζήτηση και ανάλυση τεχνικών και θεωρητικών λεπτομερειών πάνω στη συγκεκριμένη τεχνική, και γενικά στην προχωρημένη χειρουργική παχέος εντέρου και ορθού, μας έδωσαν τη δυνατότητα να εμβαθύνουμε στο αντικείμενο και να οπλιστούμε με νέα δεδομένα για την καλύτερη αντιμετώπιση των ασθενών μας.
On May 19–20, I had the pleasure of participating in the In-Hospital Course: Innovative Techniques in Colore**al Surgery at the Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan. Together with an outstanding group of colore**al surgeons from public hospitals, universities, and the private sector in Athens and Thessaloniki, we had the honor of meeting Prof Antonino Spinelli and training in the TTSS (Transa**l Transection and Single-Stapled Anastomosis) technique. This innovative approach for mid and low re**al tumors aims to preserve the a**l sphincter and avoid permanent stoma formation. Through live surgical observation, detailed discussions, and in-depth a**lysis of both technical and theoretical aspects of advanced colore**al surgery, we gained valuable knowledge and new insights to further improve patient care.
