A ceremony by the lake.

A shared meal under the trees.

Moments of listening — to the land, to each other, and to what begins to move within.

This short film offers a glimpse into two Mystical Journeys we recently guided on Crete for visiting retreat groups — experiences designed to help participants slow down, meet the elemental landscape of the island, and anchor what they are discovering within themselves.

We want to acknowledge the facilitators Dr. Willow Brown and Colleen Grady .devi who entrusted us with guiding their groups through these encounters with the land. It was a joy to collaborate and witness how each journey unfolded in its own unique way.

This film was brought to life through the sensitive eye of Edward Pike .studio , and through the music composed by Dimi Tree , .moves whose work beautifully carries the atmosphere of these days.

Over the past few years, I’ve found myself telling the story of these pilgrimages to facilitators who bring their groups to Crete.

Many arrive curious about the land — about where to walk, what places carry a particular presence, how to approach the island in a way that feels respectful and alive.

Again and again, the conversation would return to the same journeys.

The Dragon Walks, the ceremonies on the land, the way certain places revealed themselves slowly over time.

Eventually I realised it would be meaningful to gather that journey into one place.

So I wrote a small book.

Sacred Sites of Crete – The Shaping of Temple
_Dragon Walks, Medicine Wheels, and the Making of a Living Temple._

It traces several years of walking the island, working with land and symbol, and discovering how a relational field slowly takes form.

I’m offering it freely as an e-book for anyone who feels curious to explore the journey.

Much of my work in Crete unfolds long before anything visible appears.

Before retreats take shape, before journeys are offered, before something becomes an event or a structure, there is often a long period of listening —
to the land, to relationship, and to the subtle architecture that allows something to emerge in a way that feels coherent and alive.

Over the past years, that listening took a very particular form here in Crete.

Together with close companions, I walked the island in a series of pilgrimages that we later came to call the Dragon Walks.
We traced ancient paths across the landscape, built medicine wheels, and explored how ceremony, land, and relationship can shape a living field rather than simply produce an event.

What emerged from those years is now gathered in a small book:

A record of lived encounter with land, symbol, and the slow formation of a relational field.

Much of the work I now share with others on the island grows directly from these years of walking and listening.
