A week ago I landed back in Guatemala.

This first week home has been filled with stillness, beauty, ceremony, tears, laughter, cacao, community, and a profound sense of coming back to myself.

Three nights of sitting with grandmother medicine reminded me of truths I somehow keep forgetting:

✨ The ego wants what it wants, but the heart knows what it needs.

✨ Stop trying to be something and simply be.

✨ Perfection is not required for healing, authenticity is.

✨ The deepest medicine is often subtle. A listening ear. A long hug. A shared song. A moment of genuine presence.

I found myself reflecting on grief, purpose, intuition, forgiveness, and what it means to walk this path with openness, humility, and trust.

The words of and the teachings at seemed to echo the lessons unfolding inside me:

“Before you go falling in love with anyone else, fall in love with yourself.”

And perhaps that is where all healing begins.

Grateful for the beauty of Lake Atitlán, the wisdom of ceremony, the nourishment of (always my favorite), the songs, the people, the dogs, the volcanoes, and the quiet reminders that we are far more supported than we realize.

My cup feels full.

My heart feels open.

And I am excited to see what wants to emerge next. 🤍

Being back in Guatemala always reminds me how healing it can be to live closer to the rhythm of the earth.

The birds in the morning. The garden after rain. The way the body softens when there is nowhere to rush.

This is the kind of self love I keep coming back to.

Not the polished kind. The quiet kind. A little self massage. A few slow stretches. A few deep breaths. A moment to ask my body what it needs instead of forcing it to perform.

Restorative yoga has become one of my favorite ways to regulate my nervous system and reconnect with myself. It gives me space to listen beneath the noise, soften the places I’ve been bracing, and let my intuition lead.

Sometimes healing is not about doing more. Sometimes it is about slowing down enough to hear yourself again.

When my client first came to me, she wasn’t afraid of speaking. She was afraid of freezing.

Every time visibility arrived, her body remembered an old story: You’re less than. You don’t belong here.

So we didn’t try to override it. We listened. We located where that freeze lived in her body. We gave it color and texture. And day by day, through a custom guided meditation, she learned how to meet it with breath, touch, and compassion... and let it dissolve.

She listened to this meditation every day for 33 days as she went to bed at night.

Now, something remarkable has happened. She’s no longer bracing herself. She’s energized. Curious. Genuinely excited to engage with people at her book release and signing. Showing up online and ready to be seen.

She told me, “I’m not terrified anymore. I’m inspired.”

This is why I create custom guided meditations. Not to fix you, but to help your body feel safe enough to become who you already are.
