We’re happy to welcome Mastrapero, our new Yin Yoga Instructor, to Namaste Yoga. 🧘‍♂️

Starting next Sunday, we will be introducing Yin Yoga classes — a slow, calming practice with longer-held poses that helps improve flexibility, release tension, and deeply relax the body and mind.

We’re excited to bring something new to our yoga community. 🤍

Here is the traditional Sun Salutation B (Surya Namaskar 😎 sequence, step by step.

1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana)
* Stand tall.
* Inhale to prepare.
2. Chair Pose (Utkatasana)
* Inhale.
* Bend the knees, hips back, arms overhead.
3. Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana)
* Exhale.
* Fold forward from the hips.
4. Halfway Lift (Ardha Uttanasana)
* Inhale.
* Lengthen the spine, fingertips or hands on shins/floor.
5. Chaturanga Dandasana (Low Plank)
* Exhale.
* Step or jump back and lower halfway.
6. Upward-Facing Dog (Urdhva Mukha Svanasana) (or Cobra as a modification)
* Inhale.
* Lift the chest, shoulders back.
7. Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)
* Exhale.
* Hold for one breath.
8. Warrior I – Right Foot Forward
