The Organizing Committee is pleased to invite healthcare professionals to participate in the 2026 Cardiology Symposium, which will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This symposium will bring together doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and healthcare stakeholders for a day of engaging discussions, knowledge sharing, and professional networking focused on advancing cardiovascular care and improving patient outcomes in Guyana.

Participants will benefit from:

The Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) is pleased to invite you to participate in an upcoming Continuing Education (CE) Session scheduled as follows:

Credits: 3 CE Credits

Session Theme:
Psychological Perspectives on Substance Use Among Healthcare Workers

This session will feature expert presentations on the following subtopics:

-Stress, Burnout, and Emotional Exhaustion – Dr. Akeem Marques
-Moral Injury and Cognitive Dissonance – Mr. Wil Campbell
-Access and Normalization – Ms. Carlotta Boodie
-Stigma and Help Avoidance – Ms. Lisa Erskine

Kindly be advised that following the completion of any Continuing Education (CE) activity, organizers are required to submit a typed or electronic attendance report (Word or Excel format) to the Allied Health Council no later than one (1) week after the CE activity.

Please note:
❗ We will not accept photographs of attendance sheets.
❗ Only properly formatted electronic or typed submissions will be considered valid.

This measure is being implemented to improve record-keeping accuracy, efficiency, and transparency within our reporting system.

We appreciate your cooperation as we continue strengthening our professional standards and accountability processes.

To have your renewal considered, you must submit:

To ensure a smooth and timely renewal of registration, all practitioners are reminded that renewal applications will ONLY be considered complete when submitted together with the official payment receipt.

What must be submitted together:
βœ”οΈ Completed Renewal Application Form
βœ”οΈ Detailed payment receipt clearly showing:
Date of payment
Name of the applicant
Amount paid
Method of payment

Please note:
Applications submitted without the required payment details will be considered incomplete and will not be processed until all documentation is received.

We encourage all practitioners to submit their documents early to avoid delays and ensure uninterrupted registration status.

All Allied Health Professionals are hereby advised that renewal applications must be accompanied by the corresponding payment of renewal fees.

Upon receipt of the application and payment, the Continuing Education (CE) credits will be reviewed to ensure that the required number of credits has been attained.

Professionals who do not meet the required CE credit threshold will be duly informed and provided with further guidance on how to complete their renewal requirements.
