Home is more than just a place to live; it is where Mrs. Ho confides her memories and love for her late husband.

As her friends move into nursing homes one after another, Mrs. Ho chooses to age in place and care for her beloved partner. Through the Community Care Service Voucher (CCSV) Scheme, Mrs. Ho was paired with Evercare’s caregiver, Ms. P**n 🌸. Ms. P**n takes care of Mr. and Mrs. Ho’s daily needs — from boiling water, bathing to home cleaning — creating the most comfortable living environment for them. When Mr. Ho passed away, Ms. P**n remained by Mrs. Ho's side, accompanying her through her loss.

在認知障礙症的晚期照顧中，家人在日常起居與進食上的變化，往往是照顧者最牽掛的事。
Evercare 始終秉持 Family First 的初心，與本地大學專業研究團隊，撥出1個公益免費名額，期望為有需要的家庭帶來專業且溫暖的護理資源。

獲選中的家庭會由專業言語治療師親自上門，針對家人的吞嚥及飲食狀況，提供一對一的護理與餵食技巧指導2次，所有費用全免。

In the late-stage care of dementia patients, changes in daily routines and eating habits are often the biggest concerns for caregivers.

Upholding the "Family First" principle, Evercare has partnered with a local university research team to offer one free, charitable placement to provide professional and compassionate care to families in need.

The selected family will receive 2 one-on-one nursing and feeding technique consultations from a professional speech therapist, tailored to the family member's swallowing and eating habits. All services are provided free of charge.

👤Target: Families caring for patients with late-stage dementia who face challenges in swallowing or feeding.

📹Format: Participation will involve a television segment filming, documenting the caregiving journey. We hope that your valuable sharing will encourage greater understanding, care, and support from the community for families in the late stages of dementia.

當身邊有人哽親，你又有冇用啱方法為佢急救呢？

老人家吞嚥機能衰退，容易出現食嘢哽親（哽塞）情況 。註冊護士Luk Sir同我地分享哽親原來唔可以亂咁拍背脊😯，拍錯方向，隨時會令阻塞物跌得更深，堵塞氣管。

When someone near you is choking, do you know the right way to perform first aid?

As elderly people's swallowing functions decline, choking while eating becomes more common. Registered Nurse Luk Sir shares that you shouldn't just pat someone on the back blindly😯—slapping in the wrong direction can push the object deeper and block their airway completely!

💡 If you have elders at home, keep these 3 healthy eating habits in mind to prevent choking:
1. Take your time and enjoy food slowly 🥣
2. Dine together to keep them company 👥
3. Put down the phone and stay focused while eating 📱❌

If someone is choking, first assess whether the situation is mild or severe. Learn the Heimlich maneuver to save a loved one’s life at any moment.
