暑期港大研究實驗室實習分享
在過去的兩個月裡，我真的很高興能夠參與這次經歷。雖然也有一些充滿挑戰的時刻，但我可以自信地說，我在這裡的大部分時間都非常寶貴。
在整個實習過程中，我有機會獲得各種實驗室技能，每一項技能都有助於我的成長和理解。從掌握 DNA 凝膠電泳等技術，到使用唾液等分試樣以及從血液和唾液樣本中提取 DNA，我的技能得到了顯著擴展。一項突出的特殊技術是 Elisa CRP 檢測。
在 Elisa CRP 檢測過程中，我和我的團隊遇到了挫折，這些挫折轉化為寶貴的學習經驗。值得注意的是，我們最初的嘗試告訴我移液準確性對我們的結果有著令人難以置信的影響。令人著迷的是，即使是一納米的微小差異也會導致結果的巨大變化。這些失敗凸顯了實驗室工作中精確性和對細節的關注的至關重要性。
我學到的另一個重要教訓是細緻的交叉引用和嚴格遵守協議的重要性。我清楚地記得有一次由於我在驗證正確的日誌和目錄號方面的疏忽而發生了錯誤。這一事件強調了實驗室過程中每一步都必須一絲不苟的必要性。
然而，我的實習不僅僅是技術技能方面的——這是一個個人成長和自我發現的時期。接觸這些技術不僅磨練了我的技術能力，而且加深了我對實驗室工作複雜性的理解。
佔用我大部分時間的一項任務是血液 DNA 提取。最初很有趣，觀察無色 DNA 沉澱在無水乙醇中沉澱的過程讓我著迷。
當我回顧過去的幾個月時，我真誠地感謝所發生的成長和學習。我面臨的挑戰對我的發展做出了重大貢獻，使我在實驗室環境中成為一個更加細緻、見多識廣和自信的人。我熱切地期望將這些經驗教訓應用到未來的工作中，並對這次實習期間為我提供的指導和支持表示衷心感謝。

Summer internship in HKU research lab
Over the past two months, I've been truly delighted to be part of this experience. While there have been challenging moments, I can confidently say that the majority of my time here has been incredibly valuable.
Throughout my internship, I've had the opportunity to acquire a diverse range of laboratory skills, each contributing to my growth and understanding. From mastering techniques like DNA Gel Electrophoresis, to working with Saliva aliquots and performing DNA extractions from both blood and saliva samples, my skill set has expanded significantly. One particular technique that stands out is the Elisa CRP assay.
During the Elisa CRP assay, my team and I encountered setbacks that transformed into invaluable learning experiences. Notably, our initial attempts taught me the incredible impact of pipetting accuracy on our results. It's fascinating how even a minuscule discrepancy of one nanometer can lead to substantial variations in outcomes. These failures highlighted the critical importance of precision and attention to detail in laboratory work.
Another vital lesson I learned was the significance of meticulous cross-referencing and strict adherence to protocols. I distinctly remember a situation where a mistake occurred due to my oversight in verifying the correct log and catalog numbers. This incident underscored the necessity of being meticulous at every step of the laboratory process.
However, my internship wasn't just about technical skills—it was a period of personal growth and self-discovery. The exposure to these techniques has not only honed my technical abilities but has also deepened my understanding of the intricacies of laboratory work.
One task that occupied a significant portion of my time was the Blood DNA extraction. Initially intriguing, the process of observing the colorless DNA pellet precipitating in Absolute Ethanol fascinated me.
As I reflect on these past months, I am genuinely grateful for the growth and learning that have occurred. The challenges I faced have contributed significantly to my development, making me a more meticulous, informed, and confident individual within the laboratory setting. I eagerly anticipate applying these lessons to future endeavors, and I extend my sincere appreciation for the guidance and support that have been offered to me during this internship.
