芒種代表到了適合播種有芒的穀類農作物,是農民的播種、下田最為繁忙的時機,所以亦有忙著耕種的意思。

這時開始進入梅雨時節,空氣潮濕,濕熱之氣到處彌漫,濕性重濁,易傷腎氣、困腸胃,使人感到食慾不振,精神困倦。

養生妙法
間中暴露於陽光之下,更有助吸取陽氣,利於氣血運行。
保持愉快心情,使氣機宣暢。
天熱出汗多,衣服要勤於洗換,要「汗出不見濕」。
大汗後切忌立即用冷水洗澡。
不要大汗後露膀吹風,也不要迎風或露天睡卧。

「淺背線」(Superficial Back Line, SBL)是人體背部從頭頂至腳底的筋膜網絡。它的核心功能是支撐身體直立、對抗身體前傾 及讓身體後伸(如挺胸、仰頭)。若長時間低頭、久坐,容易導致整條淺背線緊繃,亦可導致足底筋膜炎、小腿繃緊、膕繩肌繃緊、腰痠背痛、肩頸僵硬甚至頭痛。健康的淺背淺有助改善姿勢及舒緩痠痛。淺背線所在亦與中醫的足太陽膀胱經不謀而合,
足太陽膀胱經是人體最長、穴位最多的經絡,被譽為人體的「排毒高速公路」。其功能包括:
水液代謝與排洩: 主水液運化,排出尿液。
抵禦外邪: 位於人體背部,負責抵禦風寒等外邪,保護體內陽氣。
透過疏通膀胱經(如按摩、活動、伸展、力量練習、敲打、刮痧背部等),或可改善肩頸僵硬、背痛、 緩解頭痛、 改善下肢水腫、消除腿部疲勞等。

人生如「小滿」,花未全開、月未全圓,保留進步空間,比起追求極致的圓滿,「小得盈滿」更是一種知足常樂的處世智慧。
夏季的養生建議以手足及氣的開散為主,要養心。

小滿是夏季第二個節氣,此時農作物的籽粒漸見飽滿但未完全成熟,故名小滿。俗語有話“小滿大滿江河滿”,意思是過了小滿,降水就開始變得頻繁起來,故此需要健脾去濕。

視乎個人體質,這時可適量吃牛蒡、冬瓜、綠豆等清熱食物。

四季中夏屬火,火氣通於心,夏季與心氣相通,易感煩躁不安及出現失眠症狀,故立夏養生注意養心。

中醫所說的「心」,除心臟外,還包括情緒方面,養心,就要靜養,保持心境寧靜,避免心火內生,所謂「心靜自然涼」。

立夏養心,「淡、苦」為先,氣候漸熱時,人體需要清補,如:茄子、綠豆芽、西瓜、冬瓜或苦瓜。也可適量進食綠豆粥、冬瓜湯、豆腐等。天氣漸熱,人體出汗多易失津液(水份),可適當吃酸味食物,如番茄、檸檬、草莓、山楂、菠蘿之類,酸味收斂作用,可預防流汗過多而耗氣傷陰,又能生津解渴,健胃消食。食用時注意個人體質特點。

《謝中上人寄茶》——唐·齊己
"春山穀雨前,並手摘芳煙。綠嫩難盈籠,清和易晚天。”描述穀雨前後正是採摘雨前茶的時節。
穀雨是春天最後一個節氣。如果已經脾虛濕盛加上天氣潮濕,濕上加濕,倍覺困倦、腫脹、大便溏、食慾不佳等消化道問題。健脾化濕可吃淮山、芡實、薏仁、扁豆、赤小豆、陳皮等食物,減少生冷、肥膩之物,以免進一步損傷脾胃,加重體內濕氣困留。

穀雨過後,開始接近夏天,人體可能出現「熱氣」,即「春火」,養生要防體內積熱。飲食應以清淡為主,避免羊肉、麻辣火鍋以及辣椒、胡椒等大辛大熱的食物,以防邪熱化火。可適量食用涼性食物,如綠豆、鴨肉、蘿蔔等清熱降火。
