What Is a DEXA Scan?
A bone density scan is used to assess bone strength, diagnose osteoporosis, and evaluate fracture risk. It uses a very low dose of X-rays to measure bone density and help identify bones that may be weaker and more likely to fracture.
The scan is simple, safe, quick, and painless, and no fasting is required.
