Recently, the Amber Medical team arranged an international medical es**rt service for a woman with end-stage oesophageal cancer travelling from Hong Kong to Los Angeles. Given her frail condition, need for bed rest and continuous nutritional support, as well as the importance of safety and comfort during the long-haul flight, the team developed a personalised es**rt plan based on her clinical needs. A stretcher flight service was arranged, with two professional nurses accompanying her throughout the journey. 👩‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🛏️🍽️

歐式健步行（Nordic Walking）起源於芬蘭，透過專用健走杖配合步伐與手臂擺動，帶動全身更多肌肉群參與運動💪。相比一般步行，不僅有助提升心肺功能與燃脂效率🔥，同時可減輕關節承受的衝擊🦵，讓不同年齡層都能輕鬆享受運動的樂趣😊。

Nordic walking originated in Finland. Using specially designed walking poles in coordination with each step and arm movement, it engages more muscle groups throughout the body 💪. Compared with regular walking, it not only helps improve cardiovascular fitness and calorie-burning efficiency 🔥 but also reduces the impact on the joints 🦵, allowing people of all ages to enjoy exercising with ease 😊.

Last weekend, 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 was honoured to support the “𝐌𝐢𝐝-𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 — 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐜 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤” event as a co-organising organisation and medical support partner 🤝. In this case, the patient was diagnosed with a brain tumour while living abroad. The uncertainty and helplessness experienced throughout this period are difficult for others to imagine fully. After multiple referrals within the UK healthcare system, delays in diagnosis, and the physical toll of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, both the patient and family faced immense pressure. Ultimately, the family decided to arrange the patient’s return to Hong Kong, where they could seek a clearer treatment direction and plan for ongoing rehabilitation.

However, returning from the UK to Hong Kong involves far more than booking a flight. It requires careful consideration of the patient’s clinical condition, medical es**rt requirements, air travel arrangements, ground transportation, and continuity of care upon arrival.
