I don’t believe in restriction. I believe in choosing right. And obvs everything in moderation.

The massive difference in these two sweets are the main base ingredients used:

- Healthy fats-rich black sesame seeds vs white flour
- Sesame seeds with its own flavour vs needing a lot of sugar to flavour white flour

Both satisfy an afternoon snack craving. Massive health/blood sugar response difference.

What are your healthy snack go-tos?

Been doing this with my girls last couple of years. Not going back.

So happy to shout out to my girl for hosting this very special workshop to introduce Thai wellness and culture in such a chic and fun way.

Making our own inhalers by using our senses to choose the herbs our bodies are calling for, infused for 20 days to maximise their function.

My first time to experience a Thai tapping massage, where each tap is synchronised to my heart beat. A great way to connect and listen to our hearts.

Lovely Thai teas, snacks and desserts by the team.

It was a lovely afternoon well spent. Thank you for having me. Can’t wait to see what you cook up next!

Asian-ish salad bowl for lunch. Stuff from the fridge, 10mins, and this one was blood sugar friendly. See second slide - within range. Hooray 🎉

What’s in it and why:
Organic baby cos (greens, crunch)
Quinoa (protein, energy)
Tuna (protein, omega3)
turmeric pickled green papaya (fiber, vitamins, acidity)
Nori (iodine, and yum!)
Nutritional yeast (vitamin bs, esp b12, some protein)

Dressing:
1 tsp miso (probiotic, umami)
1 tsp cider vinegar (probiotic, acidity)
1 tsp sesame oil (good fat, yum)
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil (good fats, antioxidants)
Sesame seeds (calcium)

Everything can be prepped ahead and ready to be assembled. Cause most of the time when I’m home, I can’t be bothered, but I’m starting to come by. One meal at a time.

My heart is full from Wednesday night’s cozy online community gathering, we had funny foodie names (I’m Tammie fried chick 🤣) and talked about food and our metabolic health. Thank you to all of you that joined. This post shows some nuggets I shared.

Without naming our participants…one of us has eaten gummy bears at 2pm every day for 10 years. Another one got a prediabetes diagnosis and then quietly rebuilt her whole relationship with carbs. One hasn’t eaten moo ping in years but still crosses the street to smell it. And someone dialled in from LA at 6am. 💪🏼

We talked about blood sugar, yes. But really we talked about what food means. The comfort in it. The confusion. Why the “healthy” dinner can still spike you to 197. Why your body in your 40s responds differently to the same food you’ve been eating your whole life. How this affects our metabolic health, AND how it affects building our dream life!

One thing I keep coming back to: healthy food doesn’t always mean blood sugar friendly food.

That’s not a failure. That’s personalisation. That’s how data can help bring clarity.

Your body isn’t broken. It’s responding to signals. And when you change the signal — you change the response.

Next gathering coming. Sign-up at link in bio if you want in before it fills.

Happy (International) Mother's Day to all my human, dog, cat Mamas, and aunties that backs us up like Mamas!

This is a candid moment from when we were testing a breakfast cookie recipe, I love this because this feels representative of the beautiful chaos that is parenthood. We are in the process of testing new breakfast recipes that actually fuels them. Their metabolism is so fast and no typical breakfast foods fills them up enough, not even ones from whole foods. And coming from a pre-diabetic nutritionist, of course my other KPI was that the calories are balanced from protein and fat as well as healthy carbs.

This post celebrates the efforts, the quiet inner work we do, to grow into grown-ups that can give them the safety and connection, to empower their confidence to fully be themselves, the undying love behind these efforts, and the joy that shines through behind the exhaustion. I wouldn't change a goddamn thing.

To all of you in the same boat. I see you. And you are doing great.

Much love.

You don’t always see which food is causing the weight, the crash, the mood drop.

Until you track it live.

I’m hosting a small free online gathering on **Wednesday May 13** to talk about exactly this. Not a protocol. Not a template. How to actually understand what *your* food is doing to *your* body — and what to do with that information.

What you’ll leave with:

→ Why healthy food isn’t always blood-sugar-friendly food

→ How metabolic health drives your weight, your energy, your mood

→ A decision point — not another rule to follow

And for the women who want to go further: I’m opening a small paid cohort right after this. Three weeks. Your own data. Me guiding you through it. First cohort gets 50% off. I’ll share everything on the 13th.

📅 Wed 13 May · 8pm Bangkok · 9pm HK & Singapore

💻 Online · Zoom · Free · Limited spots

Low GI food. Big portion. Does the math add up for YOU?

Glycemic Index tells you how fast. Glycemic Load tells you how much actually hits your bloodstream — from your real plate, not a lab portion.

Same watermelon. Small slice = barely registers. Whole bowl = blood sugar spike.

The food didn’t change. The load did.

This is why personalising your diet matters. Your portion, your body, your response. Not a generic chart.

May 13 — I’m sharing what tracking my own food for 14 days actually showed me. Free gathering. 12 spots. Comment “gathering” and I’ll send you the details. 🦋

Same shake. Same kitchen. Same me.

The only difference: banana and avocado.

I make this shake almost every morning — fruits, seeds, chia, flax, nut milk, moringa, creatine. It's my anchor.

When I tracked my blood sugar for 14 days, I assumed this shake was safe. It's healthy. I know exactly what's in it.

April 6: Clean. In range. Best day of the entire study.
April 14: Same base, but I added banana and avocado. Because avocado is supposed to slow the sugar down. I still spiked.

The avocado didn't fix it. The extra banana overpowered everything.

Here's what this tells us: healthy eating isn't one-size-fits-all. It's PERSONAL. Your body responds to food differently than mine does. The only way to know is to look.

That's exactly what I'm sharing on May 13 — a free online gathering where I walk through what 14 days on a CGM actually showed me. The meals that surprised me. The patterns I couldn't see without tracking.

12 women. One evening. Real conversation.

Comment "gathering" below and I'll send you the details. 🦋
