When professionals use SENcastle consistently with children with developmental disabilities, what do they actually see changing?

According to our year-long study with 37 professionals and 475 children, the most frequently reported improvements are:
✅ Attention and concentration
✅ Emotional self-regulation
✅ Social interaction and communication

Children also showed progress in language expression, understanding instructions, and participating in structured activities.

📅 Today, June 4, the world marks World Assistive Technology Day.

According to estimates from the World Health Organization, more than one billion people need some form of assistive technology - and due to population ageing and the rise of chronic health conditions, that number is expected to nearly double by 2050.

Assistive technology encompasses much more than many people realize: from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and eye-gaze technology, to adaptive switches, mobility aids, and software that supports reading and writing.

The key principle? We do not choose the “best” technology - we choose the right technology for the right person: technology that matches their abilities, the activities they want to engage in, and the environment in which they live.

We believe in building tools that are backed by evidence - not just intuition. 🧾

That's why we conducted a formal user satisfaction study with 37 professionals across Croatia, all of whom had been using SENcastle for at least 12 months with a total of 475 children.

The findings were clear: 95% of participants rated SENcastle as a 'very effective' or 'excellent' tool.
