📢 Are you 18–30 and connected to a border region?

The European Commission is looking for 10 Cross-Border Ambassadors for a mandate running from October 2026 to March 2027.

✨ What’s involved?
• Around 2 days per month
• Monthly online meetings with DG REGIO
• Contributions to the Border Focal Point Network’s communication
• Your own personal project on cross-border cooperation

✅ Open to young people living in an EU or EFTA country with a strong connection to a border region
✅ Apply with a motivation letter (max. 500 words) and a video (max. 2 minutes)
✅ Receive a Certificate of Completion signed by DG REGIO

👉 Apply by 31 August 2026 and become a voice for cross-border cooperation!

The European Commission is looking for 10 Cross-Border Ambassadors aged 18 to 30. Applications close on 31 August. If you work with young people in your border region, this is worth passing on.

The mandate runs from October 2026 to March 2027 and takes about two days a month: monthly online meetings with DG REGIO, contributions to the Border Focal Point Network's communication, and one personal project chosen by each Ambassador, from a short video to a policy brief.

✅ Open to 18-30 year olds living in an EU or EFTA country with a strong connection to a border region
✅ Application: a motivation letter of 500 words maximum and a video of 2 minutes maximum
✅ Certificate of Completion signed by DG REGIO at the end of the mandate

🌿 A greener, smarter and more attractive Tuzla!

What happens when tourism infrastructure meets smart and ecological solutions? You get new ways to enjoy nature, explore local destinations and experience Tuzla from a different perspective. 🌳🚶‍♀️

Through the Pannonia-Adria Connection II - PA.CON II project, the Ilinčica recreational area in Tuzla is being enhanced with improved tourism infrastructure and thematic solutions designed to make the destination more attractive, accessible and enjoyable for visitors.

From outdoor recreation and nature-based activities to new visitor experiences, the project is helping transform Ilinčica into an even more appealing destination for both local communities and tourists. 🌍✨

Join the 6th Cross Border Coworking Conference, taking place in Zadar, Croatia, from 12–15 October 2026, and connect with entrepreneurs, digital nomads, coworking professionals, startups, and innovation stakeholders from across the region.

Organised within our CODES project, the conference builds on the legacy of the 2CODE project from the Interreg IPA CBC Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014–2020 Programme, continuing to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and cross-border cooperation.

The programme includes inspiring keynote speeches, panel discussions, practical workshops, and networking opportunities, covering topics such as AI in business, remote work, coworking communities, destination branding for digital nomads, and coliving.

💧 The WATERLINK project partners have presented the results achieved so far in strengthening sustainable water management across the cross-border region!

The project has already delivered significant achievements, including the establishment of advanced water quality monitoring systems, the installation of modern equipment, the development of digital tools, and the implementation of innovative solutions to reduce water losses and improve the resilience of the regional water supply network.

🌊 A new hydrometeorological station on the Krupa River is now providing real-time ecosystem monitoring!

As part of the SMART-Water project, an advanced automatic hydrometeorological station has been installed on the Krupa River in Hutovo Blato Nature Park. Operating 24/7, the station continuously monitors water levels and key environmental parameters, providing valuable data for nature conservation, scientific research, and sustainable water resource management.

In its first 277 days of operation, the station has already collected more than 6,600 measurements, creating one of the most comprehensive hydrological and meteorological datasets for the area. 🌍💧

🌿 Another step towards sustainable tourism and enhanced outdoor experiences!

The infrastructure works at the Ilinčica Recreation Site in Tuzla have been successfully completed as part of the Pannonia-Adria Connection II - PA.CON II, implemented under our Programme.

The completed works included the renovation of the Nature House complex, significantly improving the recreational and tourism infrastructure at one of Tuzla’s most popular natural destinations. This investment contributes to the promotion of sustainable tourism, the preservation of natural heritage, and the creation of better facilities for both local residents and visitors.

🤝 Together, we are building greener, more accessible, and more attractive destinations through cross-border cooperation.
