Just completed a successful revision of a femoral prosthesis for a patient who had undergone proximal femur resection due to Ewing sarcoma 7 years ago. The previous implant had loosened, causing persistent pain and instability. We utilized the Waldemar Link Megasystem C for a cementless reconstruction, restoring both alignment and function. Thanks to advancements in modern oncology, we’re seeing longer survival rates, which means more tumor prosthesis revisions. It’s inspiring to witness the evolution of prosthetic systems, allowing for more precise reconstructions every day!

Distal humerus pathological fracture managed via anterior approach and distal humerus resection.

The resulting defect was reconstructed with a Zimmer Biomet Coonrad/Morrey total elbow prosthesis.
At 2 weeks post-op, early functional outcome shows stable joint and improving range of motion.

**High-Grade Sarcoma Management**

A high-grade sarcoma was identified in the left scapula, invading the shoulder joint. After chemotherapy, a Tikhoff-Linberg procedure was performed, excising the scapula and proximal humerus, along with an extra-articular resection of the shoulder joint while preserving essential structures. The defect was reconstructed using a long-stem shoulder prosthesis anchored to the clavicle. The postoperative X-ray confirms the outcome.

15 Years of Progress: A Remarkable Journey in Orthopedic Care 🦴✨**

This case illustrates the success of modern orthopedic interventions over 15 years. Starting with a proximal femur resection featuring a tumor prosthesis and bipolar head, we observed significant changes over time. Subsequent X-rays revealed head migration into the acetabulum, leading to a revision with the Zimmer TMARS system, which functioned well for years.

Unfortunately, a septic complication required the replacement of the prosthesis with a spacer. Finally, after addressing the inflammatory process, we successfully implanted a Zimmer cup-cage construct along with a proximal femur tumor prosthesis.

Today, the patient active, thanks to advancements in oncology and continuously evolving orthopedic implants. This case exemplifies a career of ongoing development and success in patient care.
