Migraine Awareness Month is also a meaningful moment to remember where the Gerson Therapy began. Before it became known for its application in complex chronic illness and cancer, it first emerged from Dr. Max Gerson’s own struggle with debilitating migraines and his search for a path that could truly restore health.
Richard’s story brings that history into the present in a powerful way. He had long suffered from Crohn’s disease, inflammatory arthritis, and severe lifelong migraine headaches. His healing journey also became intertwined with those of his two children, who were facing serious health challenges of their own and chose to follow the Gerson Therapy as well. Stories like Richard's remind us that the Gerson Therapy did not begin as an abstract idea. It began with real suffering, real persistence, and the search for relief and restoration.
This Migraine Awareness Month, we honor that origin and the patients whose journeys continue to give it living meaning.
