One of the questions I get asked most often is...

“What if I’m not flexible?”

Closely followed by...

“What if I’ve never done yoga before?”
“What if everyone else is better than me?”
“What if I can’t keep up?”

The truth is, you don’t need to be flexible to join us on retreat.

You don’t need to have done yoga before.

You don’t need to be fit, experienced, or know what you’re doing.

Our classes are designed for all levels, and every movement can be modified to suit your body.

What matters most isn’t how flexible you are.

It’s being open to trying something new.

One of my favourite things about retreat is watching women arrive feeling nervous about stepping onto a yoga mat, only to discover how much they enjoy slowing down, moving their bodies, and taking time for themselves.

There is no competition here.

No comparison.

No pressure to be anything other than yourself.

Just a group of incredible women supporting each other, sharing new experiences, and creating memories together.

We went to Bali as strangers, and came back with a group chat that won’t stop!

This was our May retreat in Bali. Six days, one villa, ten women having the best time possible.

We did yoga at sunrise, joined boxing classes (no experience needed, no pressure, just vibes). We tried pilates for the first time and giggled through every single class. We explored Bali; the shops, the food, the chaos and the beauty of it all. We did pottery with hands covered in clay and left with something wonky and wonderful. We ate the most incredible food; long dinners in, long nights out, always together.

The magic wasn’t in any one thing. It was in all of it, in a group of ladies who were completely different from each other, showing up for every moment anyway.

Every class was optional. Every level was welcome. And somehow, everyone found their people.

That’s what Sages is. Not a fitness retreat. Not a yoga retreat. A you retreat, with the best group of women you haven’t met yet 🤍

Nobody warned us how much fun this would be 😂

Clay on our hands, laughter in the room, and absolutely no idea what we were doing.

And honestly? that was the whole point.

You don’t need to be talented.
You don’t need to have tried it before.
You just need to show up with an open mind,
and the women next to you will take care of the rest.

This is what a day on retreat in bali looks like in between the movement and the meals.

It’s the moments you don’t expect that stay with you the longest.

It’s what happens when you put the right women in the same room.

Our first retreat of 2026.
An intimate group. Four countries. One unforgettable week.

As the founder, my biggest focus will always be my guests.
I want every woman who walks through our doors to leave feeling more herself than when she arrived.

This April? That happened.

In the movement sessions and the sound healing.

Harvard studied happiness for 85 years. They followed 724 real people from their teenage years all the way through to old age. After all of it, they arrived at one clear answer.

Not wealth. Not fitness. Not genes or intelligence or career success.

The secret to a longer, happier, healthier life is the quality of your relationships.

People with strong social connections have a 50% higher likelihood of survival than those who are isolated. Loneliness, according to the study’s director, is as dangerous as smoking half a packet of ci******es every day.

This is what we have always believed at Sages. We just didn’t have 85 years of Harvard research to say it with.

We call it The Sages Method. We don’t just build fitness. We build social fitness.

Portugal is different.

There’s something about the pace of life here…
the way the mornings feel softer, the air feels lighter, and time doesn’t feel rushed.

On retreat, you experience all of it.

Coastal walks along the cliffs of Lagos.
Beach days in Luz.
Exploring hidden corners of Burgau.

And in between all of that…

Yoga in the morning.
Pilates to feel strong again.
Long lunches, ocean swims, and time to yourself.
Evenings spent laughing, connecting, and sharing stories around the table.

This isn’t a packed schedule.

It’s a balance.

You’ll have structure when you need it…
and space when you don’t.

Everything is optional.

Some days you’ll move, explore, and do it all.
Some days you’ll stay by the pool and simply be.

Both are perfect.

Most women come solo,
and leave with friendships, confidence, and a completely different energy.
