On the eve of Nyepi, the streets of Bali come alive with the presence of Ogoh-Ogoh that are powerful, larger-than-life expressions of what we are ready to release.
Carried through the night with fire, sound, and movement, they represent the unseen forces within and around us, the chaos, ego, fear brought to the surface, witnessed, and let go.
And then… silence.
Nyepi invites the entire island into stillness. No movement, no noise, no distraction, only space to reflect, reset, and return inward.
In many ways, this is what retreat is at its core.
Not just rest, but a conscious pause.
A moment to meet ourselves honestly, release what no longer serves, and begin again softer, clearer, lighter.

We are so blessed to be able to witness and be in the energy of this sacred island.
