Did you think personal statements would end after college applications? WRONG ❌😵🥲🙅👎 but it’s ok because RPMS has you covered! Join us next Monday, 10/19 from 5-6pm at PCF 4 for our Personal Statement Workshop.

Learn about how to write and format your personal statement, how to choose a topic, and what admissions reviewers are looking for. Note that this event is open to all, even if you aren’t a pre-med or just want to learn more about the personal statement!

DO MY EYES DECEIVE ME⁉️👀No, RPMS did NOT get a sponsorship with an unspecified chocolate brand, 🍫🙅but we DID have our M&M (Medicine & Mentorship) Night this past week on 09/24 ⛑️ Rice students got to connect with professionals in the healthcare field over a night of tacos 🌮 and discussion 🗣️

Thank you to everyone who showed up, whether you were an attending physician or freshman undergrad, events like these are not possible without the community showing up 😊

Keep an eye out for next year’s M&M and future mentorship opportunities (Big Owl Little Owl Foreshadowing…) 🦉

🧠 🩺 RPMS CASPER Study Break!!! 🧠🩺

Hey Rice! Ever heard of the CASPER exam for med school but have no idea what it is? 🤔 Come to our RPMS CASPER Study Break Sept 30th to find out! (Spoilers: it has nothing to do with friendly ghosts 👻)

We’ll break down what CASPER is, which medical schools require it, what the exam looks like, and what to expect on test day ✍️Then, you’ll get to try out practice scenarios and learn strategies for approaching them!

Think that’s it? We’re ending with a fun typing game where you can compete for a GRAND PRIZE: a Study Remote🏆🎮 (lock in that Anki grind 😛)

🗓️September 30th
⏰ 5:00–6:00 PM
📍 Miner Lounge

Come learn about CASPER, get some practice in, and have some fun along the way!
