Your first Bikram Yoga class can be a little overwhelming.
The heat.
The 60 or 90 minutes.
The sweat.
The unfamiliar poses.
And sometimes, the things you think you’re supposed to do can actually make the experience harder.
You don’t need to drink gallons of water during class.
You don’t need to arrive on a full stomach.
You don’t need to force yourself into a deeper posture.
You don’t need to keep up with the person next to you.
And you definitely don’t need to feel guilty for taking a rest.
Your first class isn’t a test.
It’s an opportunity to learn how your body responds, find your breath, and experience the practice for yourself.
So come prepared, stay curious, and most importantly—listen to your body ✨
And if you’ve been practicing Bikram for a while:
