At the TUS Students' Union - Athlone campus for freshers week and on Tuesday we booked in the lovely Nicola from Road Safety Authority Ireland.

She got checked out this morning and had only high praise for the staff and service! ♥️♥️

Last Friday we visited COPD Support Groups Ireland Athlone in the Clonbrusk Resource Centre with our super Optometrist Kate and our Community Champion Suzy to chat about eyes and ears and hand out goody bags! ✨🤍✨

It was fun and informative and we are so happy to have met such a great group with brilliant questions and lots of laughs! 😁💝

Our fantastic audiologist, Yvonne, was recently presented with a beautiful bunch of flowers from a patient who was so delighted with the care and customer service they received. Even more importantly, they now have the gift of hearing clearly again for the first time in a long time. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do. 💚

Last Friday we were at Athlone Library for a storytime and talk about our eyes!

We had so much fun acting out “The Gruffalo”, 👹🦊🦉🐍, then learning about our eyes and eye health.

There were goody bags for everyone as well!! 💝💝💝💝💝

Taking place on 20th September 2026 with Athlone Athletics Club, this promises to be a fantastic event celebrating fitness, community, and achievement.

On Wednesday our Community Champion Suzy visited with at Belvedere House And Gardens where they talked about vision and being kind to yourself 💚🤍💚

Incredible group of women full of life and laughter! Everyone went away filled with joy and totes carrying some goody bags! ✨🦋✨

Here’s a little feel good story from our day fundraising for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind 🐶💚🐶

Below is a picture of Annmarie Cosgrove and Elliemay and Cormac whose Nanny Maureen O’Gorman spent most of her life raising funds for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. To the tune of €80,000 ✨✨💕✨✨

She is on the Irish Guide Dogs fundraising wall of fame as one of the biggest individual fundraisers in Ireland 🇮🇪

What an amazing individual ♥️

And her incredible family are in our community in Athlone Town!
