CHOCOLATE - SHOULD IT BE TESTED?

Turns out, a lot of cocoa/cacao on the market carries heavy metals like lead and cadmium above safe limits. Even the "organic" and "fair trade" labels don't guarantee it's clean.

And here's the part that should give everyone pause: labels didn't reliably predict which products were contaminated and which weren't.

This is exactly why purity, for us, isn't a marketing word - it's a practice.
At KALLAI, every ingredient that goes into our products is tested on heavy metals, including aluminium, before it ever reaches you. We make sure we know how our cacao farms produce. We don't rely on assumptions, industry averages, or certifications alone.🌱

An eight-year analysis of 72 cocoa products found 43% exceeded California Proposition 65 limits for lead and 35% exceeded them for cadmium. Organic, fair trade, and non-GMO certifications did not reliably predict lower contamination levels, and separate testing of more than 469 products found 285 above allowable dose levels for one or more metals.

Mayo's heading for Croke Park with a county's hopes on board 💚♥️

On All-Ireland Final day, wishing the team strength, focus, and a bit of Mayo magic. Fingers and toes crossed here at Lea's Natural Health Clinic — Up Mayo! 🥳⚽

Twenty years ago, someone joked they'd turn this Estonian girl into a proper Mayo woman. Turns out they weren't joking - it's all about green and red now. Whatever happens at Croke Park tomorrow, I'll be roaring my heart out.

🧠 Did you know your brain has its own lymphatic system?
