My name is Michael McEvilly and today marked a huge milestone in my life as the new owner of Quinn’s pharmacy Ballina together with my good friend and business partner Ian MacDonagh.
Being from Ballina myself, I feel very privileged to have the opportunity take over such a well-established and respected pharmacy. Quinn’s pharmacy has a long history serving the people of Ballina and I’m very excited to continue to provide the same excellent patient care and professional service that people have come to expect.
Ian is a great friend of mine who I have known since my early days in college. He is the owner of MacAuliffes pharmacy Castlebar, a well established, independent family run pharmacy which he took over from his mother Mary. He has continued to bring pharmacy forward and developed it into the successful business it is today.
As we are now under new ownership, Quinns pharmacy will be changing its name to McEvillys pharmacy.
Rest assured, though the name might be changing, our excellent staff and pharmacy team will remain the same and will continue to be here for you as they always have.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to wish Sinead all the very best in her retirement. We’d like to thank her for everything she has done for the pharmacy and the community in Ballina over the years, and wish her all the happiness in her next chapter.
I was very humbled today to have had such a warm welcome from all the customers, staff, and local business owners in Ballina and I’m extremely grateful for all the kindness and support shown to me today.
It is my pleasure to be joining the pharmacy team here and I look forward to getting to know our patients and customers.
