Work. Rest. Recover. Repeat.

I can't tell you how many clients come to me feeling like this has become their whole life. They've gradually cut back on the things that once brought them joy and made them feel like themselves- Exercise, Travel, Socialising, Hobbies, Adventure…

Not because they wanted to, but because they're trying so hard to manage symptoms, get through the work day, and keep life ticking over!

And it’s so understandable! When you're exhausted, overwhelmed, in pain, anxious, or dealing with chronic symptoms, you're doing the best you can to just get through it.

What I love so much about this work is that it offers something many people have never had before: a toolkit for starting to understand what may actually be going on beneath the symptoms, as well as a supportive place to begin to create change.

Instead of feeling scared by their symptoms or stuck in a cycle of constantly managing them, clients begin learning how to understand the signals their body is sending, what those signals may be asking for, and how to respond in a way that creates meaningful change.

Over time, I see clients start to feel more empowered, begin trusting themselves more and becoming more confident. They have practical tools they can use in real-life situations, they understand their own patterns more clearly and they know what to do when symptoms arise, rather than feeling at the mercy of them.

And perhaps most importantly, they begin bringing life back in- more joy, fulfillment, connection, FUN! More of the things that just light them up! Because this work is about creating a life that genuinely supports your health and wellbeing, both now and in the future🎉

If you've been feeling this way, I'd love to offer you a free 30 minute consultation. We'll explore what you've been experiencing, what may be happening underneath symptoms, and whether this work feels like the right fit for you.

Learning to set boundaries has been one of the single biggest things that helped me recover and stay healthy.

But I know that for so many people, even hearing the word “boundaries” can immediately bring up discomfort. It's that fear of being rude, of conflict, of upsetting people, fear of seeming difficult or selfish.

And one of the things clients often say to me when we begin exploring boundaries is:
“Oh… this feels so much gentler than I expected. It doesn't feel like I'm going to be being harsh or confrontational!”

Because oftentimes its not super useful, and it might not feel good to set boundaries in that way.

✨️To be quite honest, the first boundary we often need to set is with ourselves- noticing where we override our own needs, push ourselves too hard, overstretch for others, say yes when we mean no, etc.

✨️And when it comes to boundaries with other people, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

A boundary in work may look very different to one with a partner or friend we feel really safe with, or a family member who we have a difficult relationship with. Some relationships allow for open conversations where we can use some great communication skills to not put the other person on the defensive, and instead create an opportunity for a really gorgeous conversation for both people. Other relationships may need a more subtle and protective approach if you think they are unlikely to be receptive but it feels really meaningful to maintain that relationship.

🌸In this work, I support clients in building their own toolkit for navigating their unique relationships and situations in ways that feel safe, supportive, authentic, and realistic. This in turn leaves them feeling more heard and their needs more met, leading to positive health shifts! 🌿

What if you could stop seeing symptoms as a sign you’ve “overdone it” or things are about to get way worse, and instead be curious about what your body might be trying to communicate❤️

Instead of:
“Oh my god, the symptoms have gotten worse. I need to cancel my day, lie down, try to regulate or rest.”

You begin responding with:
“Okay… what just happened?
What's my body trying to get my attention about?
What do I need right now?”

Such a huge shift in this work is moving from fear and symptom management into curiosity, self-trust, and understanding.

And often, THAT is what reduces these loud signals of the body- when we've been heard!🌸

So many clients come into this work telling me they are chronic people pleasers and wondering what role that may have played in their health today? This is something we all do- so let's talk about why!

In this reel I’m talking about authenticity vs attachment- why pleasing people often served us well from a survival perspective, but why constantly overriding ourselves may no longer be supporting our happiness and health presently.

In fact it could be one of the puzzle pieces of why we are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, or experiencing fatigue, pain or other symptoms.

In this work we begin gently unraveling this pattern- noticing it with compassion, and slowly building a toolkit to help us do things differently🌿

Let me know how this resonates with you in the comments, and if this is something you'd like support with, do book in for a free exploratory chat at the link in my bio🌸

I've been having such a busy few weeks with a lot of stretch and shifts that I'm really excited by (but is also quite tiring!🤣).

Last night after work, I drove out to Glendalough and sat in the valley. Listening to the birds, enjoying the river and creating lots of space and presence to connect with myself and my emotional brain was really great. Being in nature is often my favourite way to give myself that space. Let me know in the comments what your favourite way is❤️

This work might be a good fit for you if...

🌸You’re experiencing anxiety, burnout, fatigue, chronic symptoms or pain, migraines, IBS, Long Covid, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, or other mindbody-related conditions.

🌸You’re curious about understanding why your symptoms may be present, rather than just managing them.

🌸You notice patterns in your life like people pleasing, perfectionism/being hard on yourself, or your needs being overridden.

🌸You want practical grounded tools and personalised 1-1 support in exploring your emotions, helping you approach situations differently and creating shifts and changes in your life that really work for you.

🌸You’re curious to explore the connection between emotions, and physical symptoms.

🌸You want to bring more joy, fulfilment, and connection back into your life- things that often get reduced when experiencing chronic symptoms.
🌸You’d value having someone alongside you encouraging you to celebrate your progress and shifts and creating a compassionate space, rather than striving through this journey.

🌸You’re ready to give yourself the time and space to unravel patterns, build trust with the body, and learn a new way of approaching yourself-rather than placing pressure on yourself for a quick fix.

If this sounds like a good fit, I'd love to chat with you! Head to the link in my bio or my website keelinnielsendonohoe.com to book your free consultationđź”—

Let’s talk about doom scrolling!👀

This is something that comes up again and again with clients, and honestly something I’m always navigating in my own life too.

One of the most helpful places to start is simply noticing how it actually makes you feel❤️

My clients often notice an increase in symptoms, anxiety, tension or overwhelm. For me, I’ll often notice more overthinking, or feeling more drained and stressed afterwards- all signs that my body is saying “no”.

And whilst phones and social media are of course designed to be highly addictive, often doom scrolling is also trying to meet some kind of need.

Sometimes it’s boredom- and social media, with a new piece of stimulation every few seconds, is incredibly effective at pulling us in!

Other times, though, you might notice that you’ve picked up your phone right after a feeling arose. A quick distraction from fear, sadness, anger, loneliness, hurt...

The thing is, even if doom scrolling is trying to serve a need, it doesn’t actually leave us feeling like that need was heard or met in any way. The body tends to let us know that pretty clearly.

đź’So how can we begin to approach this differently?

Often we’re already scrolling before we even realise we’ve picked up the phone. I personally love the app AppBlock- it allows you to block social media apps so you have to consciously choose to unblock before using them.

Recently I’ve had mine set for the whole day and just unblock apps intentionally when I need them. Some clients use it to set a boundary with engaging with world news first thing in the morning, which can make a huge difference to how we start the day.

Alongside this practical tool, we can also begin getting curious:
What need is this trying to meet?

✨️If it’s boredom, can we give ourselves some more easy, tech-free ways of meeting that need?
✨️If it’s emotional avoidance, can we gently come back to what we were feeling and create a little compassionate space for it instead?

This work is so often about small shifts like these- all beginning with simply noticing how something is making us feel. I'd love to know how this resonates with you in the comment

I was working with a client recently who was mostly bedbound, carefully trying to pace with CFS/ME.

In our first session, we explored a tool that helps you begin to connect with what your body and emotions might be communicating- and how to start responding in a different way that actually addresses what’s going on.

It was incredible to receive this message a week later🎉🎉
“On Thursday morning already I was dancing through the living room!!!
And since then I’m excitedly drinking up all kinds of life-giving experiences."

I absolutely love moments like this. It is incredible to see what happens when we hear our emotions and our needs! Instead of fear driving our actions, we begin to follow what feels like a “YES”, finding ways to bring more life, joy, and fulfilment back in. And it’s from this place that we see the biggest shifts in our energy and symptoms.

Thanks to this lovely client who gave permission to share this story❤️

🌸If you’re feeling curious about what your own symptoms might be trying to communicate, you’re very welcome to book a consultation at the link in my bio or DM me “Curious” to explore how this work could support you

I really look forward to connecting with you!
