People who love drama tend to make big events seem really important. Deaths, marriages, arguments, affairs. The truth is, most of these things are just a part of the cycle of life. People die, get married, argue, cheat - all the time. It can feel really big when you're in the middle of it all - like a storm. But the truth is, these events pass. Time forgets and heals. The things we really grieve or remember or care about are actually those everyday things. A hand on our back at the supermarket, a nickname, a smile, freshly baked cookies, a sunset. The gentle things have power too. They have the power to create a life. They have the power to connect us with one another through time and space. Don't underestimate them.
