There is a part of us that remembers how to live with wonder. It is the part of us that played freely as children. The part that could imagine, explore, and be fully present with life without needing a reason.
As we grow older, we often move into patterns of repetition. We focus on responsibility, structure, and what we believe we must do to move forward. And slowly, without realizing it, we lose touch with the energy of play.

When we allow ourselves to play, even in small ways, we step out of the habitual rhythms of our lives. We begin to see differently. We notice more. We become open again to the subtle signs and omens that are always speaking to us.

Play reconnects us with our creativity, with our imagination, and with the part of our soul that knows how to dream.

This is why in shamanic work, reconnecting with the child within is so important. The child carries curiosity, openness, and a natural relationship with Spirit.

Today, give yourself permission to step out of routine, even for a few moments. Do something that brings you joy without a purpose. Let yourself explore. Let yourself be surprised.
