What a night!!! This shows you how important it is if youre cycling ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!! My mum and I were enjoying the last days of our trip out cycling in the desert, and night cycling as its way to hot in the day. On a downhill she hit a huge rock and came off at 50km an hour. Thank God she was wearing a helmet. I know you all love her (almost as much as me), she is doing ok, she has a broken rib and arm fracture, but thank goodness she didn't land on her back so nothing was damaged from previous surgery!! I have to say this was one of the scariest moments of my life, having to call an ambulance and not knowing what's injured. I have to say an absolutely huge thank you to Dubai Police and the ambulance crew and hospital staff. (They also arrived so quickly considering we were on a little bike track in the desert).
The police actually collected our bikes and took them all the way back to the car park so I could travel with theresa to the hospital. The staff looked after her so well. She was scanned and checked so quickly. I have even more respect for people in the medical profession now. They took the time to reassure me and make sure Theresa was safe and looked after 🥰
Also. I didnt get names but so many people stopped and helped her, one couple stayed with us till the ambulance turned up and helped me figure out how to sort the bikes for pickup!!

Please bear with me over the next few days... I will be answering messages for appointments but it may take a little longer while I look after Theresa ❤️❤️ Looking forward to being home in Ireland now xx (there's no place like home, especially when that home is Ireland 🇨🇮
