A retro look back at an 80s oldie but Goldie children’s show ‘Rainbow’ sparked the children’s creative side this week. The children used open ended materials to make, boats, trucks, pigs, and pasta jewelry. We ended the week with relaxation and meditation. Well done everyone and have a safe and enjoyable bank holiday weekend.

Calling all Parents & Children – CHILDHOOD SERVICES WEEK 2023

Monday 1st May is a Bank Holiday across the Island of Ireland and we are asking children and parents at home to play their favourite music and move to the beat together. NCN would love to see pictures of Music Monday at home.

An overall fun and engaging week, with children’s emerging interests explored. We look at how tall the children have grown, explored the rain and muddy puddles through provocations and experiments. The children loved the hands on experiences of splashing and sparing , making rain and muddy puddles. We also looked at farm animals who love the mud and the children got a chance to care for animals, washing them and drying them, all through small world play. Finally to wind down for the weekend we listened to the story Stay Wild My Child, and yes you guessed it there was muddy puddles in the story too. Have a lovely weekend.

Some Easter fun and extra curricular activities. Happy Easter and we hope the Easter bunny comes to all the boys and girls. Have a well deserved rest and we look forward to seeing you all after the break.
