Our town is going digital.

Castleisland District Heritage Group are looking for all your images, videos, and audio from the past 100 years.

We’re reliably informed that images etc will be restored for online use.

Our Town, Our Heritage, Our Story.

With help from the Heritage Council we will preserve our town’s past for future generations. Hopefully with help from you, our local community, we will succeed in accomplishing this.

We are collecting old photographs, video and audio recordings of our town’s historic buildings, places and people. All items will be handled with care and respect. They will be returned in the same condition as we received them. Your contributions help us tell the story of our town and people.

We will be at 35 Main Street, Castleisland (Bob Finn’s Corner) for National Heritage Week from Saturday 15 of August at 10am to 4pm. Then from Monday to Friday 17–21 August at 11am to 3pm and finally Saturday 22 August from 10an to 4pm.

Digital copies help preserve them for future generations. Every memory matters.

A great initiative!

🚲 Volunteers Wanted in Castleisland & Di**le! 🚲

Be part of the new Cycling Without Age initiative and help bring the joy of cycling back to older adults and people with limited mobility in your community.

No cycling expertise is needed – full training will be provided for volunteer "pilots" who will operate specially designed electric-assisted trishaw bikes, offering passengers a chance to enjoy fresh air, local scenery, conversation and companionship.
