Rotator Cuff. Gruppe af muskler knyttet til skulderen. Består af 4 muskler: Supraspinatus, infraspinatus, Teres Minor og Subscapularis. Alle med udspring fra skulderbladet. De tre første er uden på. Den sidste inden under. Gruppen har såvel en stabiliserende, som en bevægende funktion. I fællesskab centrerer de hovedet fra overarmsknoglen i ledskålen, således at cirkulære bevægelser er mulige. Musklerne hjælper med rotation af armen.
Rotator Cuff. Group of 4 muscles attached to the shoulder. Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor and Subscapularis. All originating from the shoulder blade. The first three are on the outside on the shoulder blade. The last one below. The group has both a stabilizing and a moving function. Together they center the head of the humerus in the glenoid so that circular movements are possible. The muscles help with rotation of the arm.
