Sign up for September Look Good Feel Better, Wednesday, 1st September, 11.00am.

Finding out you have cancer can be daunting and life-changing. The added stress of the appearance related side effects of treatment can be demoralising and very hard to cope with.

This can have a serious effect on self-esteem and confidence, at a time when a positive attitude is very important. Cancer can rob a woman of her energy and strength, but with the support of Look Good Feel Better it need not take away her self-confidence.

The team in Look Good Feel Better uses the power of make-up to help rebuild self-confidence and self-esteem for women who have gone through cancer treatment. A team of dedicated volunteer make-up artists run these workshops. Each participant receives their own kit bag of make-up and skin care products to keep.

Great News!

From Monday 19th of July, we will be moving our Cancer Support Centre to our permanent home at Knappogue House, Tullymongan in Cavan!

We will close from Monday 19th July until the 4th August while we move house.

The new Centre will serve the needs of families living with Cancer for generations to come and will be a beacon of hope, comfort and support.

Our telephone support for current service users will continue to be available during the move as will our remote Zoom Complementary Therapies Programmes, they will also continue to operate.

We can’t wait to open the doors to you all when restrictions are lifted.

The new Centre will have somewhere for children to play with other children who have lost mammy or daddy, granny or grandad, or who are living with cancer in their family.

Somewhere for parents, children and loved ones to attend counselling sessions, sit in a beautiful garden with new friends, enjoy the relaxing therapy of a massage, or simply have a private room where they can grieve in peace.

It’s bigger, and it will mean we can help more people. Best of all, it means we have a permanent space in the heart of your community.

o More private rooms for counselling and therapies

o A much bigger drop-in space, offering cancer support and information at a time that suits

o A garden where you can spend precious time relaxing or chatting with volunteers or family

Our new Centre at Knappogue House, Tullymongan, Cavan has a quiet garden that we will develop into a therapeutic garden for you and your families and everyone living with a diagnosis of Cancer.

We still have not got our new telephone landline number but our mobile number is still the same as always 086-4556632 as is our email address [email protected]

We look forward to the day when we can all share a cuppa with you in our new home!
