Today we have something very important we would like to share with you all. Our friend and colleague, Liz, has taken on a challenge with her eldest son Anthony. They are walking 100km of the Camino to raise much needed awareness for Dravet syndrome, in honour of her younger son, Fionn.
In Liz’s own words:
“I’m taking on the Camino, walking 100km for someone very special to me, my son, who lives with Dravet syndrome.
Dravet syndrome brings daily challenges and uncertainty, but my son continues to show incredible strength, courage and determination. Every step I take on this journey will be for him and for all the families living with Dravet syndrome.
The Camino is more than just a walk. It is a journey of love, hope and determination. I will be walking to raise awareness, to honour the strength of my son, and to remind others that behind every diagnosis is a person and a family fighting every day.
When the walk gets tough, I will think of my son. His strength will carry me forward, one step at a time. ❤️
100km. One journey. Every step for my son.”
We are so proud of Liz and just wanted to share her piece here to help her on her journey in raising more awareness for Dravet syndrome. We will share some more information about Dravet syndrome in the coming days.
