There is indeed a massive rise in Mental health in teens and anxiety is a side of most mental health. At Perspective, my advice is, seek help as early as possible, do not presume a child or teen will grow out of it. Anxiety will start creating unhealthy coping strategies and patterns and will keep looping until the root cause and patterns are identified.
There are so many contributions to this rise in Mental health, social pressures, loneliness (although they are connected online, this is not real connection). I am still seeing the effects of covid, Social development, being dropped overnight by friends, Self image and esteem. Life isn't as simple for our teens now.
Perspective has an anxiety programme that works or avail of the many excellent services such as Jigsaw. Either way, getting help is the key.
More young people than ever before are seeking help from the youth mental health service Jigsaw, with referrals up 33% in the first three months of this year, compared to the same period last year.
