And September is here 🍁

This month can be great as we start new chapters but it can also feel daunting with do much new stuff.

Everyone is unique so all of us get to the finish line at different times, which is fine. We can feel the pressure when we think everyone else is ahead of us and we compare ourselves.

This month be patient with yourself and stay in your own lane on the track at a pace that is right for you ❤️

Everyone has their own unique story to tell as each chapter of our lives teaches us something our soul needs to know ❤️🦋

To everyone getting Leaving Cert results this Friday, please remember that your results are only one part of your story.

Listen to your heart. Trust your own path. Do not let a number define what you are capable of becoming.

I didn’t get the A-level results I had hoped for, and I didn’t get my first choice of university for teacher training either. At the time, it felt really disappointing, but looking back, it all worked out in the way it was meant to. I made great friends at Roehampton and had a real variety of schools for teaching practices which led me to St Bernadette's Primary School where I got my first teaching position.

Sometimes the path changes, but that does not mean the dream is over.

Keep going. Your journey is still unfolding.

Some children feel everything deeply.

They notice the things others miss. They worry more, question more, imagine more and sometimes become overwhelmed by a world that can feel very loud and very fast.

I know this because I was that sensitive child.

I felt everything around me — other people's emotions, the atmosphere in a room, the things that were said and sometimes the things that weren't.

Over time, I learnt to push those feelings down. I learnt not to listen to my body and to see my sensitivity as something I needed to change.

It has taken me many years to realise that the very thing I once saw as my weakness is actually one of my greatest gifts.

As parents, it can be tempting to wish things felt a little easier for our sensitive children.

But sensitivity is not something we need to take away.

Our sensitive, emotional and creative children often grow into the adults who notice when someone is struggling, who think differently, create new possibilities and bring compassion into the spaces they enter.

The world doesn't need them to toughen up or become less of who they are.

It needs us to help them trust what they feel, listen to their bodies, protect their wellbeing and recognise the strengths within their sensitivity.

Because perhaps these deeply feeling, wonderfully creative children are exactly the kind of people our world needs more of.

June reminded me that courage doesn't always look the way we expect.

For me, it was finding the confidence to step onto the stage last Friday and dance a jazz solo for my 50th birthday.

For so many dancers competing at the Dance World Cup this month in Dublin, courage has meant showing up after months, and often years, of dedication, hard work and perseverance.

Whatever your stage looks like, remember that courage isn't about being fearless. It's about taking the next step, even when your heart is racing.

As we welcome July, I hope you find the courage to do something that helps you grow, brings you joy and reminds you just how capable and amazing you are.

Here's to spreading our wings, one brave step at a time.

Love does not always come in words.

Sometimes it is found in showing up.
Helping out.
Building a shed.
Making time.
Being there when it matters.

A father's care can look different from one family to another, but its impact can last a lifetime.

This Father's Day, we celebrate all the Dads, Grandads, Godfather's, Uncles, mentors and father figures who support, encourage and care in their own unique ways.

We also remember all the Dads who are here to share the day but remember the great memories with with them x

Thank you for the difference you make every day.
