I hold a BA Hons in Counselling & Psychotherapy and I am a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My therapy room is a safe space where you can come in confidence and share openly about what’s on your mind without judgement. I can help you understand your feelings, thoughts and actions more clearly. My aim is to help you become more self-aware, resourced and finally empowered so you can find solutions to the struggles you are experiencing in your life. It can be scary at first to pick up the phone and make the call to ask for help. It’s a very brave decision to make and it is a step in the right direction to living a more fulfilling life. Finding the right therapist to work with is very important. I offer a free 30 minute session to new clients. This gives them an introduction to therapy and an opportunity to decide if I am the right therapist for them. You should feel comfortable with the therapist and over time establish a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship. My style of counselling is based on the Humanistic approach. Humanistic therapies focus on self-development, growth and responsibilities. Humanistic approaches include Person-centred therapy, Gestalt therapy, Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems, Attachment, Complex Trauma and Personality & Developmental Theories. I also use Mindfulness in my work to help clients bring their attention to their internal and external experiences occurring in the present moment. This is a useful practise to learn for self-resourcing outside of the therapy room. I am based In Rive Fitness, Nutrition & Wellness Centre Glanmire. There is a separate discreet entry to my room at the side of the building to protect your privacy. Free parking is available. Therapy sessions are 1 hour, daytime and evening appointments available.
