Some moments in care may seem small to the outside world.

A birthday card.
A cake with a candle.
A few handwritten words.

But to someone turning 80, those moments can mean everything.

Last week, Linda celebrated her 80th birthday, and her carer, Amina, made sure she felt remembered, valued and loved. Alongside a birthday cake, Amina presented Linda with a handwritten card filled with warm wishes and kind words that brought genuine joy to her day.

This is what care should feel like.

Not rushed.
Not transactional.
Not clinical.

Just human.
